The Detroit Pistons have not won a playoff game since 2008. Since then they have never had a draft pick higher than #7.

Only the Sacramento Kings have a longer time since their last playoff game win than the Pistons (2006). However, they have had Five top 5 picks (including #2 in 2018) since the Pistons last won a playoff game.

The Suns are the next longest time since a playoff win (2010), and they have had four top 5 picks since then including #1 in 2018.

Would anyone like to make a case that Pistons fans haven't had the most miserable decade of any team's fan base in the entire NBA?

And that's a dead giveaway that the organization tends to not only overvalue its own players but those it pursues in trades/free agency.

I think the Kings have a credible case given the three ring circus they've been. And they don't have a whole lot to show for those higher picks.

I'm feeling down enough about everything that I'm not interested in making that case though.

So...you ready for that Fred VanVleet max offer?

At least we haven't had a FO executive commit fraud to the tune of millions (that we know of).

As bad as we've been any Sacramento fan has had it worse

Shoot, just get Russell Westbrook. If you're going to go max you may as well get an over-30 max player with an attitude problem.

I remember the frenzy people were getting at the thought of Westbrook. Like near full hysteria, it was so palpable. And if you criticized the move you were immediately belittled because we HAD to make this move because of Blake’s age or some nonsense. Or...we don’t since Blake and Russ don’t fit and he’s severely overpaid to chuck... Which is proving right with his season this year.

That’s my personal realgm highlight of the 2010s. The vindication of being against that trade and Josh Smith.

Was anyone really in favor of the Josh Smith move? I may be wrong but iirc the general consensus at the time was that we pretty much outbid ourselves for a guy that didn't fit on the team, with some posters partially in self-denial waiting to see how it went on the court. Feels like he become hated (as a player), and rightfully so, as quickly as any FA in recent memory here.

Hawks fans were laughing at us, IIRC.
