I know we love some Edwards and Wiseman,,,,but mannnn a 6'8" point guard with these elite passing skills will be fun to watch at MSG for years to come.

It would be fun to watch but just remember even though the 76ers are really good, a lot of people think the reason they can't get to that next level is because they lack in shooting so we might have a Ben Simmons type PG on our team that would definitely be fun to watch but you better surround him with shooting and there's nobody that even thinks L.Ball can even be as good as B.Simmons.

Hahaha i wouldn't doubt it. The difference between Simmons and Ball will be Ball will still put 3 pointers up to where Simmons rarely even tries. What's he got 1 or 2 this year?

Simmons' problem isn't that he can't shoot it's that he doesn't shoot. Even if he was 25-30% he'd keep the defense honest.

Yeah we've talked about how he doesn't shoot but he doesn't shoot the 3 ball because he's not a good shooter so you're mostly right but he still has shooting issues which is why he doesn't shoot enough. I agree that he should at least put up a couple 3 balls a game cause that's the best way he has of getting better but for some reason he just doesn't do it. B.Brown just needs to tell him that he has to put up a couple 3 balls every game, just not near the end of the 4th quarter in close games.

Wiseman is a monster for sure physically. There really is no compare in terms of how light and explosive and strong he is physically. He's also shown the ability to shoot from deep and put the ball on the floor and attack the basket. My question would be how much competitive fire he has. It's really hard to tell. Here's to hoping he joins a NBA G League team so we can get a closer look at him and how he handles playing against grown men in what basically is AAAA ball.

One thing we know for sure is that he played hard in college. Before the season he actually spoke about his motor problems and how he wants to improve in that aspect and he fully addressed them in the season. I expect him to keep playing like that given his IQ and high work ethic.

Ayton is another guy who had motor/defensive problems coming out of high school/college and is now excelling in both areas in the NBA.

This also comes back to coaching and vets. Surrounding these type of players with a good coaching staff and solid vets can go a long way. Suns are doing that with Monty Williams, Mark Bryant, Baynes, Rubio to mentor Ayton. It's paying off.

Knicks have to nail their next coaching hire. We should follow the Suns model because it seems to me they know what they're doing.

You don't want another situation like KAT to where he is not playing hard all the time and is taking plays off (although he is still a great player, it's undeniable that he would be a GOAT type level of C if the Timberwolves properly developed him).

The Knicks have to be high enough in the draft to be able to get a player as good as Ayton or lucky enough to get a player like D.Booker to drop to them though. We always just miss being high enough to have a chance at drafting the players that have that super star or even star talent or aren't lucky enough to have one drop to us like Booker did for them. The Suns having those two players is the biggest reason they're finally starting to play good basketball.

Wiseman and RJ could be our own version Ayton and Booker. Or it can go wrong and be like KAT and Wiggins. It just shows how crucial how a development system within teams can take your team to the next level. The Miami Heat is another model we should follow as well.

I get what you're saying but i don't see RJ being as good as Booker just because Booker has a lot of talent but his shooting is deadly and the way this game is played shooting is crucial to win. I'm not saying RJ can't be great but his shooting will never reach even close to the level Booker's at. He does do other things on offense good and will get even better but i'm really hoping he can get his shooting right. I'd be happy if he could get around 35% from 3 and anything over that would be great.

Wiseman is so unproven as of now with the very little we saw from him in college. The transition from high school to college is much much easier than the transition from college to the NBA which i know you know but we won't know if he can make that transition until we actually see it.

I'm with you 100% though and would love a Wiseman/Barrett or Edwards/Barrett or Ball/Barrett duo and hope whichever duo we end up with strives for greatness and reaches greatness together.

Yeah I don't know if RJ will ever be on Booker's level. I would suggest we try to trade for Lavine. Bulls stay losing games and he's been carrying them hard. I'd imagine he's frustrated there.

It would be great if we can form a big 3 of RJ/Lavine/Wiseman. But I am cool with Edwards and Lamelo as well. Knicks goal imo should be trying to land one of Wiseman/Edwards/Ball. Those 3 have the highest star potential.

As long as we add a great shooter at PG or SG if we end up with Wiseman or Ball then i'm good with any of the 3 as well. Barrett can play SF where i think he's a better fit anyway.

I want Wiseman, none of these PGs move me much, and I'd rather we go after Fred VanVleet, he's only 25 and is already accustomed to playing off the ball with multiple ball handlers, or being on ball.

Wiseman is the best player to pair with RJ as they occupy different parts of the floor and should be able to play off one another, plus the NBA is going big now with the death of the Warriors.
