I've been told he'll turn it on in the Playoffs.

He was a traffic cone again on the permitter defensively not that anyone else playing the guard position was any better.... except maybe Bradley.

Green only had like one open look from 3 though and I think he hit it... The rest were highly contested, quick release shots, that weren't likely to hit anyway. The Celtics perimeter D was otherworldly tonight, or our guys were just off and tentative...
So I don't think he's really to blame on that end of the court. Sure, I think we all hoped he'd be carrying a lot more of the load, but he's been good and he was spectacular against the Rockets on D last game and is the only player we have that seems to be able to limit Kawhi... So I think you give him a pass...

On D... I dunno... the Celtics were just on fire tonight and the whole team looked like they were playing on fast forward compared to us... I don't think I saw any of our guys staying in front of them, other than maybe Bradly.
And maybe Green was a little beat from the Rockets game.

For the right player, I'd trade DG... But it'd have to be a 3 and D wing that fits next to LeBron and Davis... So I ask you, who better than Danny Green? If you asked people who the best 3 and D player in the league at the 2/3 was before the season, most would have Green on their list.

The bright side is, it almost certainly can't get much worse than that. (For the regular season, at least.)

That's all I got.

Let's hope so. Just royally pissed that it had to happen against the Smelltics :nonono:

Oh, I agree. Anybody but those @ssholes. Anybody.

I get the feeling most of these players just don't really get the whole rivalry thing with the Celtics... They just didn't seem to care. Rondo did, but that's about it.
LeBron and Davis don't seem to get it... Howard and McGee didn't seem to get it... None of them.

I’ll try to dismiss this loss, but only as long as we absolutely crush them in the next meeting. I live in this enemy territory!

Theory: Grammy road trip schedule comes out, the team penciled in a party night in Boston and were hungover today. That’s enough in the NBA.

They want to look good at MSG so here starts a new winning streak. Bron will be spectacular.

One more thing. I agree that these players we have signed have NO idea what this rivalry is about. None. No sense of history, no respect. Barf, vomit, gag. Disgusting to let that team manhandle us.

He's limited offensively and the D has been spotty. Like I said the other day, I've never really noticed him over the years.... now that I'm watching him a lot I'm not sure his head is in the game all the time. When engaged he can play good/great position defense in spurts but seems have lapses. He's not a Bruce Bowen or Raja Bell consistent on the defensive end.

You're right, we need that guy.... I just wish he was that guy more often. In looking at his game logs over the years he really hasn't been consistent offensively for a few years.

I see Vogel keeping Green. Cousins, Kuz and probably the rookies will go out along with maybe one of Daniels/Cook for a guard who will get 20 minutes a game and score 10-12 will come in.

I really think THT deserves a chance to make the rotation.

Unacceptable loss. You can lose at the Garden, in fact I think it was time to lose there, but you can't give up 140 points. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

And Kostas. I think after ASB. Robe is keeping them in the shadows until then.

You know in football, when you have to travel on the road back east. And the west coast team looks on the field and sees the snow. Sees the cold. Sees the weather and says, F it, i aint up to playin today, im ready to go home....Maybe thats what happened.

Is the sky falling yet ? We will be fine. I really hope we can find someone to replace rondo. Too many people who I respect really lay out how horrible he is. The fact that we are looking at D. Rose and Collison kinda seems as though the Lakers are seeing what everyone else is. Lakers will also have to let rondo go so he doesn't become a problem in the locker room.

Danny shot 2 0f 6 from the 3pt area for 33%. Not very good but 6 shots generated 6 pts, that's like 50% from the field. The whole team shot 27% and 44% overall FG%. I would be lying if I say I am not disappointed with Green bec I expected more but he is not the main problem. They gave up 139 pts and we're focusing on his offense, really?
But like you said, who is better out there? Covington is actually shooting WORSE than his career 3pt% but as they say, the grass is always "GREENER", right?
