What a quick turnaround by a good GM and his staff! Jerry Krause is 100% right: organization wins championships. This organization led by GarPax is full of incompetent old tools who are content with the 8th seed and playoff revenue.

The Pelicans aren't like, a multi year project. Zion was +18 in 21 minutes last night. Once they get him in shape and playing 30mpg, they are going to be a scary team this year. I caught a little of their game and I was actually excited. As a Bulls fan, I practically forgot what that felt like where watching them has felt like a chore for most of the time since Rose's first knee injury.

Jaxson Hayes and Mt Zion are the future front court duo of the NBA - full of athleticism, smart, and high b-ball IQ.

Meanwhile, we have a bunch of boring losers who are soft and injury prone.

They're ready now. Ingram is Year 4, Ball Year 3, and Zion was born in an accelerator. Then they have Jrue, Redick, and Favors. That group is old enough to be dangerous, and good enough too.

Jaxon Hayes? If he was on Chicago you would hate him.

Nope. Like I said in the other thread, the speed of recognition he showed there was way quicker than you'll see anyone on this team ever show. If that situation had happened here, the passer, whomever it was, would not have passed it until Ingram was already in the paint. By the time Zion had started the motion of the pass, Ingram had just barely even started his move towards the paint.

It is the execution of those "simple" passes that separates a good passer than just some guy. It looks easy because they made it look easy.

it was a nice pass, but again, nothing to write home about

Those passes didn't display anywhere near the quickness of recognition Zion showed. Those are just "style points" passes. They only looked tough because they only finally decided to pass a millisecond late. If they had recognized the opportunities earlier, the passes wouldn't have looked difficult at all, Coby's in particular. This is why John Stockton's basic bounce passing ass is a better passer than anyone in this league right now throwing behind the back 360 no scope nutmegs.

What really separates the wheat from the chaff in this league isn't talent but this ability to recognize and react quicker. Zion has it. He just happens to have insane talent to go with it.

I think what happens with Harden is like so expected and that's on Dantoni.

Harden has to be super human every night and not that he absolutely has to be, but that is the offense. Its also the reason why they cant win in the playoffs. Harden is breaking down already and he probably needs a few weeks off to recover.

zion williamson averaged 2 assists per game in college. more turnovers than assists. he has 3 assists vs 6 TO in his 2 nba games. let's not pretend that he is bill walton based on a single good pass where he was double teamed and forced to make something happen quickly, the results of which were dependent on his unguarded teammate making the move to the rim that he hoped for and the defender at the elbow not being aware enough to react quickly and get a hand on the ball

having the reaction time doesn't mean much unless you execute properly. zion will be facing many, many double and even triple teams in his career, forcing him to make a quick pass. will it more often produce results like the play we've been discussing or more results like this one:

time will tell
God help Ukraine
God help those fleeing misery to come here
God help the Middle East
God help the climate
God help US health care

Simmons should have his own team, and Embiid should have his own team. They both have the talent to lead a team to the title, if the team around them is properly constructed. But together, the arrangement is a mess.

I'd love Simmons in a Bulls jersey

This and I'm having a hard time watching Bulls except for Zach and sad how he's wasting his prime playing for such a bad team.

only two assists, ya, but those two were better assists than anyone on the bulls roster, ever.

Very true, and you could accurately say the same thing about 2/3 of the players in the league.

Yes, they are both guys who should spend the overwhelming majority of their minutes playing with four 3-pt shooters.

The Nets managed to lose to the Knicks today, which puts us back to within 2.5 games of the #8 seed.

I've seen a team start 0-9 and wind up #3 in their conference.

I've seen a 40-42 team go to the Finals.

I've seen a 7-9 NFL team win a playoff game.

You never know, that's why they play the games.

But you won't see this Bulls team going to the playoffs just because they're so bad even with Magic and Nets fighting hard for giving up their spots.Don't worry, the Bulls will lost many games when playing teams over 0.500.

Even if Lavine carries the team to being in the picture for a while, the end of season schedule nails the coffin shut.

DEN-PHI-NY-UTA-DEN-PHO-LAL-LAC-BRK-ORL-BOS. We probably win only 1-2 games in that stretch.

I don think so. I think some of those teams will be resting key players for the playoffs.

The big question is when do all of our guys come back. If we float around .500 for a couple weeks and the. Get OPJ or WCJ back we’d get a big boost.

If we don’t or they get setbacks Pax will sell Thad and Dunn and we will tank hard.

Return to Chicago Bulls
