seriously? you want the east honor to become even MORE diluted?
if anything, i'd go down to 10 per team. certainly don't need 3rd stringers in an exhibition
20 all-stars regardless of conference (which nobody has any loyalty to), captains choose their teams live before the game
The format for the rising stars definitely needs to change as well. At first it was rookies vs soph but now its USA vs World. Since there are far more US players and very limited great World players, it hurts the US players far more.
eh, people might actually care about US vs world. it's interesting at least. and it produces a genuine competitive pride element. the world team would take pride in beating the USA team, for sure
The league just flip flops on what they deem important. One year who cares what the team record is for allstars. The next just records are important.
the league is not dictating to the coaches what they should deem important in choosing all-stars. i'm quite sure that being part of a winning team has always at least been a tie-breaking factor. it's natural. just as it's natural for coaches to choose the kind of player that they would want to coach as opposed to high-flying scorers who fans might want to see more
