So, most likely it's that his contract isn't being extended, which Mills sees as writing on wall that he's fired.
But, since it's the Knicks, there is always more misery and incompetence to be extracted from any situation.
Mills is told his contract isn't being extended or renewed BUT for the first time in his life has one or two trades set up that nearly everyone in here would like, but was told by Dolan he'd prefer "no trades that might handicap a new regime" so Morris and Portis don't get traded For Schroeder\Harkless and a Clippers pick.
Well, not sure that's a universally liked pair of trades, but you get the idea.
To top it off? The "new regime" winds up being Alan Houston and Perry.
and my Perry, you mean Mills with one of these on.

Or is it just a lucky stretch from KP?

I'd take Ball Hog Luka of their hands for sure.BugginOut wrote:So is Porzingis just better without Luka or is Luka overrated and a ball hog?

Maybe we can send randall, morris and 2 dallas picks back to them. KP and Tommy have worked out well for them so why not.

KP has just been awesome tonight. It's nothing we didn't see him do in a Knicks uniform though - it's his ceiling rather than his baseline. He flashes it now and then, sometimes for a few weeks on end.
The Luka question is certainly interesting though. I'm enjoying its existence.

Most people here should remember all great KP games and the subpar ones. First 2 month of the season vs after that.
Many posters here called him "anemic". Some tried to defend with "rookie wall".
This problem was there. He's no R.Westbrook, Lillard or B.Simmons. Those guys can play for 40+ minutes and then play the back to back game with the same intensity. KP is not that player for sure. In his defense other big men like Embiid isnt healthy all the time. He also looks gassed in many games.
I don't see any solution for KP being anemic. (Medically he's getting his iron but his energy level not going to change much)
In general, you cannot trust KP to do the heavy lifting for 82 games. He won't be your Giannis or Westbrook(OKC).
But this season, I think he's having physical and mental issues due to his return of 2 years absence. Just remember G.Hayward's or P.George's first season after the injury.
When Doncic is out, KP just brings it. He plays with intensity and aggression. In most of the games, KP doesnt want to play in post but when Doncic is out he goes most of those games to win.
I think its a semi-conscious decision. I would do the same if I was Carlisle/Mavs FO.
No need to force KP to perform 100% every night. That would just create another injury. Mavs shouldnt expect to make beyond the 2nd round in playoffs. So this season should be meshing and developing cohesion season. Just keep KP out of injuries and they should be fine.
KP's defensive presence is elite. Some KP haters posting his shooting numbers here but even when he's shooting bad he make a lot of contribution on defense. He's just an elite rim protector which makes him plus defender overall.
