Golden State took quite the gamble here.
Gamble is the right way to put it. Clearly DLo wasn't going to take us anywhere, and we need someone with different skills than him. The issue is that we're banking on either:
1) Wiggins improving under the GState culture (he probably will, but how much is hard to say)
2) That 2021 pick turning into a nice player
Wiggins turnovers and bad 3P shooting don't bode well. I'll try to be optimistic, but it's tough. The only upside is that from stats his defense doesn't look quite as bad as it does when watching. Hopefully the Warrior Way can convince him to play harder on D more consistently -- that's what we need more than anything. I doubt he will ever develop a good 3. I wish we got a different player or 2 good rotation players but it doesn't sound like we had those options.
