@Wingo...you think Beltran wish he had this technology when he batted against Wainwright?
This is why Rob Womanfred pussed out when he doled out the "harsh" punishment. Now you got the guy that set the whole arrogant personality of the Astros (Crane) thumping his chest cause he can't be punished again for all the cheating that he'd have to be an absolute moron (and he's obviously not or he'd not be owning a MLB team) to not know they were cheating. Jim Crane is one of the most hands own owners in baseball and he's in their with his players in spring training, during games, post games, etc. So the notion that a self made billionaire who considers himself one of the boys had no clue that his team was cheating is PREPOSTEROUS. And Womanfred let him get off with just a slap on his wrist cause he was chicken **** to go against the Owners and the Players Union. Womanfred basically sacrificed the most expendable guys to try to sweep this under the rug (Cora, Beltran, Lunhow and Hinch). The guys who did the dirty deed and the ultimate guy at the top got away scott free. There's no reason why guys that are doing steroids should be suspended or banned for cheating and the Astros players didn't get suspended or banned for cheating. Hypocrisy at it's finest. They might as well let Rose back and remove all the * next to the names of all the steroid cheats.
Womanfred is he James Dolan of all commissioners a commissioner like Goodell might be a real ahole but he does protect his league (protecting the shield). What message does this send to not even hand out suspensions or fines, this has been in the know for a couple of years until Fiers talked about it in the public eye (snitch or not but facts are facts), or Jomboys twitter account. Now he has told MLB players to keep it hush hush F that they all should speak out, ya maybe players suspensions and fines get over turned, but at least you are sending a message to protect your own sport and give yourself a good name in the public eye.
None of the interviews surprised me in the least, funny how they chose not to speak first day of spring training, guess they had their PR guys try to get their stories together, and Crane handled it the worst throwing guys under the bus. Its gonna be very interesting, to see how this gets handled not just this year but the next 10 years or so your gonna be having players sue the Astros and the MLB, even some former Astros like the 4 you mentioned. Someone is gonna come out with a tell all book, so much **** will be coming out. would be very interesting to see a 30 for 30 on this. Best thing the Yankees can do is just beat these a-holes and win it all.
