I was looking at their numbers the other day and they are extremely similar. Brogdon was pretty old coming out and had about 40 pounds and 3 years on current haliburton.

Haliburton has odd form but it works for him. Unlike lonzo he is a good free throw shooter so i think his shot should translate better.

I think I'm starting to tentatively come around to having Jalen Smith as my #1 power forward option in the draft. With Toppin and Reed battling it out for #2 and 3. I'm now on the trade Oubre/ Diallo / Okobo and a future 2nd to Orlando for Gordon and their 2020 Top 10 protected first round pick ( #15). Which we then use to take Devin Vassell, Or Saddiq Bey???

I'd be quite happy with either combination of Jalen Smith or Obi Toppin. And then at 15, Devin Vassell( A much better shooting Danny Green) or Saddiq Bey ( He's got big time Buddy Hield potential). *** Can be our 6th man scorer off the bench.
http://www.tankathon.com/players/saddiq-bey . Both of Vassells' and Beys' stats are incredible and uber efficient too.

Agreed man for offense yes. What are your thoughts on Vassell and Bey? Do you like eithers' skillset and potential.

Vassell is kinda the Thybulle of this class, I think he is a really interesting wing defender but kinda like what you already may have in Mikal, I would aim to someone with a higher ceiling, although Vassell is good

Saddiq Bey is a skilled big wing with shooting touch, I think he is likely a starter as a SF somewhere and that alone has value, so I am in on him, just not sure he is more than just 4-5th starter type, and you may have that in Cam Johnson too

I'd try to get a star

Definitely.

Though still trying to identify that specific player honestly, As it seems this draft is loaded with specialists types of players and role player and some contributing starter level players. You see some flashes, But many are lacking consistency and that dominant alpha factor I think. Hopefully there will be one or two prospects that separate themselves from the rest of the pack in the coming months. Still keeping a close eye on Edwards jumpshot, Okoros' defense seems to have elite potential too, But I'm watching his offensive development closely. Achiuwa could be this year's Jerami Grant. Which wouldn't be too terrible for the suns needs defensively, But the floor spacing would suck. And Theo Maledon is very intriguing to me, But I'll be checking out a few other potential outliers as well.

Would you think if Okoro can develop his offensive game and jumpshot, He could have a Kwahi like potential given his elite defensive potential and strong base?

Nah Okoro is nowhere near as long-big as Kawhi, has an average wingspan and is just not that same type of guy if you are projecting him on offnese

He could develop like Jimmy Butler I guess who is more similar to him physically, but that's an outlier, I'd say a Winslow level player, different players with Justise showing more on-ball passing ability and Okoro a better cutter, more sudden, is a possible outcome for him, swiss army knife wing who can defend up, play 1 through 5 on defense, and you need to fit him on offense somewhat, using him on ball some, as a screener, target him for lobs, have him going after OREB etc

Depends upon how the Magic manage to make the playoffs, And whether or not they flame out early **( Can Gordon maintain his current production) And also IF the rumors are true that they've been trying hard to move him around the trade deadline. Gordon is on a tear right now, However, But, As you yourself have already said before, he's not a good scorer or shooter overall. So it then depends upon which player would be a better fit/ compliment for them next to Issac. Who's strength is really defense right??

I'd wager they'd prefer a more competent scorer in Oubre for 15 million this year and next, As opposed to Gordon at 19 million this season and 18 million next perhaps, And also they don't have to pick up Diallos' team option by June 29th 2020.
https://hoopshype.com/player/cheick-diallo/salary/ .

Or Okobos' extension either due by July 6th 2020.
https://hoopshype.com/player/elie-okobo/salary/
So altogether, They could additionally save 7 million in cap space heading into this summer. So ultimately yes. I think the framework is there for such a trade to take place. Also it's to our benefit that everyone apparently views this draft as being really poor in comparison to others. But IF they wanted more value, I'd simply pass and explore other options. :D

Just a heads up for your future trade ideas, with the new CBA only a players guaranteed money counts for salary matching purposes. So you can not trade a player then decline an option.

Yeah, You're definitely right on that point man. Overall, I suppose that I would be fine with playing out the season to see how the team actually meshes together when almost all are healthy. And then look at trades with them during the summer IF the situation is right. And ultimately, As long as the front office has an actual big plan to help us take that next crucial step, I'll be pacified for a bit. I'll always be intrigued by the possibility of getting back to a run n' gun style of play with Gordon being part of a potential unstoppable fast break.

He is still a free agent in 2022 also. But all this craziness is really just my base infatuation with our team being relevant again man. And no longer being the whipping boy for big market teams. :-?

What would be truly awesome is ifvwe somehow lucked into a top 3 pick, And could choose one of either Wiseman or Edwards or Ball. But onlybfor the purpose of trading back in the draft. Maybe Edwards or Ball to Minnesota for the 5 and the 16th pick ( Brooklyn) *** Which is starting to look really good with Irving out again. Minnesota could end up with two really nice lottery picks potentially. :o

The other consideration might be to trade one of Wiseman or Ball to New York in exchange for the 5th and the 25th pick. But with the Minnesota pick, We might be able to get both Toppin and Hayes. Or Reed and Haliburton, or Avdija and Vassell? You get the idea.

And with the New York trade, We could likely get some combination of Hayes and Reed, or Toppin and Maledon, Hayes and Achiuwa, or maybe Haliburton and Okoro perhaps? And since we aren't expecting too much from this draft at the top, for our needs, As we don't need Wiseman, Or Edwards, and probably have no interest in Ball either, it becomes an excellent opportunity to pull value from a average draft. Both for roster depth and the development of future tradable assets.

http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Trayce-Davis-Jackson-102720/ *** Interesting fact: He's Dale Davis' Son. So he has a good NBA pedigree too.

I love these " undiscovered gems" that no one sees coming! Just like how Miami discovered Kendrick Nunn and Duncan Robinson, etc. These players such as:
Malachi Flynn
https://www.foxsports.com/college-basketball/malachi-flynn-2-player-stats

AND
Trace Jackson Davis

..............Are exactly the types of 2nd round undiscovered players that our scouts really need to be aware of, As they'd be super cheap contractually, And could be really good depth additions, To potentially give our roster a big improvement. I really wish there was a way to share this information with them through Twitter or some other platform. :D

Fools gold on second round picks. They are the real lottery tickets of the NBA. The he chances of them turning into something are so small. It is wrongheaded to consider filling the bench with them. This team needs competent vets.

Even first round picks are hit and miss. I would trade right out of this draft for a good veteran player.
