So it is SO CLEAR that James Dolan is a moron. Everything he does turns to ashes. I'm still upset that he fired Glen Glunwald who led the Knicks to their first 50 game season in a while, the Oakley incident, now disrespecting your #1 fan who has paid over $10million in season tickets despite a horrible on court product. We must understand that type of incidents DO NOT OCCUR in any well ran organization PERIOD. It HURTS ME SO **** BAD, to witness this moron James Dolan destroy the franchise I would root for before Toronto ever had a team.

My question is - Why do so many people still support this fool? That is the part I never understood! EVERYTHING HE DOES is pathetic. I've seen so many videos of him and how he treats fans who pay hard earned dollars, he is a disrespectful, unwise business person and his shadow from the top is destroying everything below. Yet despite all this, I don't see a collective outrage from New York.

He is without a shadow of a doubt the WORST OWNER IN SPORTS HISTORY and is destroying the NBA by alienating our most beloved Market and the CORNERSTONE CITY FOR all basketball history. I pray for the day when the Raptors face the Knicks, and Rowdy Knick fans would invade the ACC.

PLEASE - PLEASE - PLEASE - for the love of god - stop sugar coating this FOOL and start taking a damn stand against him and everything he stands for. He is a cancer to the NBA and I really hope Adam Silver comes in and gets rid of him, so the KNICKS can finally be FREE, and your amazing city and fanbase can get a team that GOES TO THE PLAYOFFS and competes at a high level as it deserves.

You’ll return when the Knicks are good again, let’s be real

spike didn't even quit. he said he's coming back next year.

When Spike was on with Michael Kay, they asked him if he was really going to skip the 50th anniversary of the 1970 championship team. He paused, laughed, and said, "What date is that again?"
Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Yesterday I was lying; today I'm telling the truth.

Fk Spike, he never treated me to a game, a beer or anything. GTFOut of the entrance for media and people with disabilities and go through the VIP door. PERIOD

If Spike wasn't rich and famous, this wouldn't even been a thing. If Spike was a regular working dude and seating at the 300 seats, noone would give a sht.

The only one that fked up was the initial security guard that may have been fired for scanning his ticket.

Like the fkn dudes sitting in a roped off VIP section in a club that's empty. NO ONE CARES SPIKE.

And PS, I'm not going to stop rooting or watching the Knicks for Spike! NEVA

Yeah the Wilpons and the Johnson family are arguably just as bad if not worse and they are in the same town. But I get the frustration level, this is groundhogs day. Every year, every season, every draft, every free agency, every coach, every GM...wash rinse repeat. At the end of the day what’s the same result? Another bunch of L’s in the record column. Oh and Dolan laughing his butt to the bank as he cashes all those checks.

Spike is very righteous about his privilege. He's a real freedom fighter

Fight the Power!

Spike got more publicity from this than any movie he has released in a very long time

Mission accomplished

Yep, all of the pent up rage against Dolan has overwhelmed common sense

We're really in the middle of an All or Nothing culture now where balanced reasoning gets tossed out the window

Guys like Spike are willing parties to the degradation of public discourse

There should no sides taken in this obnoxious melodramatic squabble. If Spike were a true adult he would squashed it and not dragged it out like this. Dolan is a known dummy who is tone deaf and doesn't understand much about real life, but Spike should know better

This was about much more than being butthurt over a slight at the entrance. Spike was ready to go off and he chose to use this as his pretext. He has behaved far worse than anything the organization did or bungled or stated

Spike has always been a twat. This just cements it

People don't like seeing rich billionaires continuing to bully people around just because they can. At least Spike has created and paid tribute to works of art which shine a light on cultural issues at different times. You may like his works, not like them, like some of them. Whatever, but at least he's done something. Plus, like us, he's a loyal Knicks' fan to a fault. Fck Dolan. Anyone supporting him should have their head examined.

It doesn't make any difference whether it's a local/national celebrity, former well-respected/retired Knick, or a vocal fan who paid for his ticket like anyone else. Dolan runs the Knicks like the arrogant, stupid, petulant, spoiled brat that he is. He is our Trump, plain and simple.

I have a big problem with Spike Lee going on that garbage program on ESPN that's already very anti-Knick and unload in the manner he did. If you have a problem with the Garden, bring it up directly with the head members of the organization.

What exactly did Spike gain to benefit from going on First Take yesterday? He looks like a parasite for airing dirty laundy like that; if he feels like he was mistreated because security told him he needed to be escorted through a different set of doors, bring it up quietly to Dolan or someone on his staff. There was no reason for him to bring this thing to the forefront of the sports pages. It was supposed to be Leon Roses' day and Spike decided to go on First Take and play the role of a multimillionaire martyr. Sorry if I don't shed any tears for someone like him.

Dolan could've easily diffused this situation. Just swallow your pride, explain to Spike the new rules being promulgated in the arena, apologize again for any misunderstanding, and leave it at that. He definitely didn't need to respond yesterday in the manner that he did through the Knicks' PR; him staying silent would've been a much more professional route to take. But if I was in his shoes, I'd be angry also. If he really did diffuse the situation with Spike considering (as the photo potentially shows,) than it makes no reason for Lee to go on First Take and just trash the organization.

But than again this is the same opportunistic parasite that was making Mars Blackmon commercials with the #1 enemy of the Knicks in the early 90's Mr Michael Jordan. So I never really looked at Spike as some defacto representative of this team. He's just some guy that's been rich for over half his life and wants everyone- including ESPN- to know how inconvenient this isolated episode was for him. Poor Spike.

I have zero care or love for Spike but high profile fans actually putting on blast the ridiculous nonsense that goes on at MSG, while they've consistently fielded the worst team in the league for 20 years now is a good thing. The Knicks dont get nearly they flack that they should from a national media level standpoint. The product has been literally unwatchable for 20 years.

100% this

Espn wrote a piece on the Knicks lack of shooting coach. Two days later we have a shooting coach. Steve Stoute goes on espn and f*cks up, two days later Mills is finally fired.

Spike going on espn is exactly how to get results from Dolan.

Well said...

Dolan values optics and appearance, first and foremost and above EVERYTHING else

(Its kinda terrible to make organizational decisions based on appearances though :noway:)

Yeah, good for Spike. I'm glad he went on the show. Every chance someone gets an opportunity to shiv Dolan, it should be taken.

So what? If someone spends 10 million at Walmart that doesn't give them the right to use any entrance they want.

"Your only a customer" - Jay Z

That’s not a good analogy cause the customer in that case would have to use Walmart exclusively and the products at Walmart would have to be among the worst of any store for the last 20 years to have equivalence.

He’s paid enough money lining Dolans pockets for this GARBAGE product that he’s more than justified to want to be treated like a VALUED customer.
