A lot of Gen Zs/younger milennials are not taking this seriously at ALL. I just can't quite figure out what kind of mindset it takes to see what is happening in the country and the world right in front of them and ignore it.

A lot of Gen Zs/younger milennials are not taking this seriously at ALL. I just can't quite figure out what kind of mindset it takes to see what is happening in the country and the world right in front of them and ignore it.
I wonder if it has to do with how modern-day media/social media makes it to where it seems like the sky is falling on a daily basis. For as long as social media has been around, people are bombarded with messages about how THIS IS THE WORST THING EVER, so you get desensitized to it.
Now that there's a real threat, said young people aren't going to take it seriously, because they've heard about threats and stuff for their entire lives.
