UM researchers say their findings are more robust than most because they used Florida Power & Light to generate phone numbers in targeted demographic areas, leading to a more randomized selection of participants.

I live in a pretty active area and I've never seen more people outside walking and running than these last few weeks. It seems people are going outside more than ever during all this.
Yeah it's because there's literally nothing else to do.
Gyms are closed. Parks are closed. Beaches are closed. Golf courses are closed. Bowling Alleys are closed. Etc. Etc.
You have pretty much two choices: stay in your house or walk/run/bike on the streetor drive around in your car
Also kids are not in school so they are out on their bikes. This is craziness. Hopefully it'll be over soon.
Yep. I just got back from a 2hr walk myself. Yes, it's great to see individuals and families walking outside even on cold and cloudy day like today. Shows how important it is to get out for fresh air, to be exposed to the natural elements. We all left more than enough distance along the pathways and I'm not worried for one second that I would contract something from them. Inside grocery stores and buildings is a different story.

And why do studies show Fox News viewers to be worse informed than any other major media consumers? is it because of their commitement to fair and balanced reporting?
The impeachmenet ended with a trial where Republicans refused to call in witnesses....Meanwhile Benghazi lasted just as long and a republican law maker straight up admitted on camera the whole point of those proceedings where to make Hilary look bad
Yes, I do think that the bias against Trump is way worse than it was against Obama. Do you remember the Obama White House briefings? The media gave him a pass on almost everything, one journalist spoke out of line once and they all cheered on Obama as the journalist was ushered out of the room. Today, they're like a pack of hyenas showing zero respect to the POTUS, barraging him with negative questions trying to trap him into gotcha moment.
Wow, this is pathetic. You mean like when he suggests people should ingest bleach to kill the virus, those biased journalists are just trying to make him look bad by reporting it. Nobody has to make him look bad, he can do that all by himself.

My last word on Trump and I'm done. I'm not even American so I don't care to defend him tooth and nail. Since I am right leaning, I support him more on his policies than on his behaviour.
He is not without criticism for sure. He often shoots from the hip which can land him in hot water with his tweets and with his words. He likes to stroke his ego a bit too much, defends himself by saying what he did right rather than directly address the questions of what he did wrong. He also likes to go off on tangents (part of the ego stroking), I mean how many times do we need to hear about the Chinese travel ban or the amount of ventilators that they've procured? This can get tiresome especially when they're doing 1.5hr briefings daily.
About his statements yesterday, yes they were dumb. My only defense of that was that he got overly excited about the presentation and openly voiced his musings. Was it stupid, inappropriate, egotistic and even disrespectful to the medical community? Probably. Does it really matter in the grand scheme of things? Probably not. So once again, Trump responded by saying that he said it sarcastically which I don't buy at all. It's just that his ego is too big for him to admit that he blundered. Everybody is jumping on this incident though almost as if it's evidence of an impeachable offense....whatever. You guys got your gotcha moment, enjoy it and move on.
So there, hope you guys don't think that all Trump supporters are irrational blind followers. Some support him mainly on his stance on various policies.

a serious danger to a bunch of idiots. Why do we need to worry about idiots who inject them selves with bleach and drink fish bowel cleaner?xdrta+ wrote:The lead story in tonight's paper: "U.S. officials scramble to warn against bogus cure floated by Trump." A separate story: "The Food and Drug Administration warned Friday against the use of hydroxychloroquine — the anti-malarial drug that Trump repeatedly has promoted as a “game-changer” miracle cure for covid-19 — because it has been found to cause serious heart rhythm problems."
The man is a serious danger to public health.

The mortality ratings are very bad for the US and Trump himself declared this to be a war, and him being a war president.
Well, to be fair, you need some other leadership I feel. Or just some common sense and a minimum of IQ. That's why this pandemic is the worst that could happen to the USA I feel, because they lack the leader you need for this kind of situation. Especially if your country is on a develloping country level when we talk about health care (and actually, to be fair, on much other things too).
If you compare this with how Angela Merkel and Germany are dealing with this ... night and day. And so are the mortality ratings between the countries.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has tripled the number of coronavirus symptoms it lists on its website.
The federal organization previously listed fever, cough and shortness of breath as symptoms of COVID-19. The CDC has added six additional symptoms as people “have had a wide range of symptoms reported,” it says on its website.
New symptoms for the disease now include “chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and new loss of taste or smell,” the CDC said.
