Bird, Magic, Isiah, Hakeem, Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Shaq, Penny , Grant Hill, Clyde, Ewing, David, Kobe, Duncan...

Those are some of the players that played while Pippen was active that I would have choosen for my team before Scottie. I don't think he was ever a TOP 5 player of the League.

He is without a doubt the player whose prestige has rised more in the years after his retirement in comparison with what it was while active.

You don’t think he was top 5 in 94??

I don't think his legacy is dumped. Just shows that Zeke could be a jerk, and that he was frequently.

And I loved him as a player, and now he is one of my favorite commentators in the sport. His stories are always so funny.

All of them are jerks. He just made the unfortunate decision to be a jerk to the most likable stars in NBA history.

Zeke is hated in NY on how he mis handled the Knicks. Before people started to hate Dolan there was Zeke.

Not really. Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Ewing, David, The Dream, Shaq, Dominique....

Although that was probably his best year, I prefer all the others. You know, people that don't quit in the middle of the game because they didn't get the last shot.

It's hard to say it like that, but it is what it is.

Did MJ ever have steroid allegations when he bulked up back in the day?

Getting that much muscle over one summer at 28 during the early 90's, little suspect looking back at it.

Did Pippen make good chunk from the sponsors and commercials? I sure hope so. He was literally top 5 player in the league at the time.

He was arguably a top 5 player in the league. He was literally a top 20 player in the league.

I'd like to hear names of those 10-15 players better than him. He could have an argument for even Top 3 at the time.

Er, it was an age full of Top 20 all timers. MJ, Mailman, Barkley, Admiral, Hakeem, Shaq, Magic was still there in his early years. Also at various times you would have to rank him vis a vis Stockton, peak Drexler, peak Payton, peak Ewing, peak Penny, Grant Hill was there etc. Marty Conlon. Lot of HOF names. Arguably more than at any other period until the last half dozen years.

I love MJ’s no nonsense attitude both on and off the court. To some, he comes off like an ****; but he’s being himself and doesn’t try hard to be someone he’s not. He still holds a grudge with Thomas to this day even after all these years. I don’t care what anyone say, Kobe was the only closest player to match MJ’s fierce competitive drive. Westbrook, Butler have that fire too, but they aren’t as talented or smart enough to take to it to the next level. That level of mental toughness can’t be taught. It’s either you were born with it or you simply don’t have it in you.
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation

Kobe had the competitive drive, but didn't have Jordan's brains or mental toughness.

IMO MJ is not one of the most likable stars in NBA history.

Sure he was a jerk, but Jordan is literally by far the most liked player in NBA history so how is he not likable?

How likable someone is, is a subjective matter. I personally can name several other players that I like more than MJ.

MJ has never, ever opened up like this before - it's fascinating to see him finally let his guard down in extended sessions.

How are you able to watch the rest of the episodes?

Does Paxton have any good will left with Chicago from his playing days?

What kind nonsense is this the man played with torn acl finished the game. Played with mutily broken fingers through out the championship runs.

I am only watching the episodes as they air each Sunday and aren't planning to look at any leaks.

Anyway, as we get into 1997, I hope that it include Rodman becoming a member of the NWO.

My favorite part involving Rodman has everything to do with him and the NWO on Nitro.

I remember how Bob Costas was disgusted with Rodman and his antics especially up showing him on WCW.

This entrance really showcased just how popular wrestling used to be after Hogan joined the NWO in 1996 and the Attitude era began:

Yeah.. the SOB built the damn team and brought in Doug Collins and Phil Jackson exactly when Mike needed them. Deserves a ton of credit. But, Mike's telling his side of the story in this one, so it's more of a perspective thing than the absolute truth.

Imagine having Dan Gilbert or Jim Dolan or Mike himself as an owner / GM instead. Mike's legacy and the entire NBA landscape today would be so different.

Yeah, MJ isn't just liked. He's theee most revered player maybe EVER!!! Dude sold more shoes than Lebron, KD, Kyrie, D-Wade, Kawhi all combined last year.

It may have more to do with the timing of Cable TV+Live Sports & just one dude who didn't give a flying **** about Isaac Newton's life's work.
