who has superstar potential that we can pick at 6th? Let me also add that I think Haliburton will be better than any available point guard outside of LaMelo.

I get it though, I don’t mind swinging for the fences when it’s actually a player worth swinging for, but this is also how you end up with Knox over SGA.

Besides Cole Anthony there really isn't a PG out there with that type of upside.

Cole himself has described as not being a true point guard. Not sure why some of you guys seem married to the idea of picking him.

True PG? No interest in discussing these phrases in the year 2020, we are passed that. These are the same recycled arguments year after year

Right , passing /Playmaking , heady play, defense, all reclyled year after year.

Agree and Ill add that some FO's fall in love with "athleticism" and "inefficient SCORING" but slot players witrh strong intangible qualities like IQ , feel for the game, and defense into the "Role player" Category. But really if you have skills /IQ/ and feel you can be every bit the budding star or Allstar. Just ask Shai Gilgeous-Alexander,Stephen Curry Jokic or Luka.

IMO Cole Anthony is not a swing for the fences type...more like a swing for the dugout. :)

I think the draft happens by August at the latest. Boones is interesting. He has us talking Haliburton over Deni and I don't know if the knicks do that. Then again next year is the great wing draft so maybe they go need first

Cole is growing on me; his shooting would play well w/ RJ and Mitch in the PnR

he can also play off-ball with RJ getting more playmaking opportunities

Leon should make acquiring another 1st a priority; we're in a good position to be take on a contract w/ pick attached from teams looking to shed salary

-Knicks fans who carry on the tradition of NYKMentality: well, who cares. Remember, Michael Jordan was picked 3rd lololololol. I bet you picks 1-5 are busts. Pick 6 is the best historically. I BELIEVE. Let me get ready to type up a 3 page post hyping up Julius Randle.

-Knicks fans who believe in the lotto gods: This is what we get for tanking! We gotta win games! Elfrid Payton getting lots of minutes, hells yes. Taj Gibson, keep playing all those minutes. Oh man, we just benched all our youth...someone get me a change of underwear!

A few days later:
-Newspapers begin leaking that Cole Anthony is our pick.
-Knicks fans get pissed.

One week later:
-Knicks fans begin rationalizing the Cole Anthony pick and fooling themselves into liking it through a psychological phenomenon called cognitive dissonance.

A month later:
Workouts begin.
Wake up Leon!

On the day of the draft:
If Cole is good, he'll get drafted before 6 because the Knicks leaked all their info out. Probably by the Golden State Warriors
If Cole is bad, we pick him and Knicks fans cheer.
If the Knicks front office fooled us, we probably pick some rando from Europe. Cue crying young Knicks fan who goes viral.

Tell the truth (we’re a family here!), were you high when you wrote this post?

lmao nah but I'm flattered!
