Unless it's stock buybacks. Makes me wonder how many truly rich people you've known.

I was raised around these guys. Went to a school in the same conference as Baron T. Saw my first World Series game from the Yankee owner's box. Best athlete I knew was Johnny Carson's son who threw a one-hitter against a top public league team and struck out everyone but their cleanup hitter who caught up with his fatstball and smacked it over 400ft. My godfather was VP of S&Poors. I knew at least 3 guys worth over 100M when that meant something. But obviously you know better.

Well, in that case, hey buddy, can you spare a dime?

I wish lol!

So simply based on the singular fact that you happen to know/knew wealthy people means I'm wrong when I say rich people spend money? Say what?

Who do you think buys expensive cars, huge screen TVs, and goes out to expensive restaurants? Poor People?

Jez, whish I could remember the right quote, somehow I think it's Emerson, "The gentleman is fresh out of college and you can't teach him anything." Well, it'll do for now.

By the way Carson's son was unbelievable. Should have stuck with baseball instead of golf.

"Fresh out of college" at the ripe old age of 74?"

I suspect I graduated when you were still in diapers.
Tanking again, I suppose. Is there any other way?

FOH!

I really dont know what to say about any cop- that believes -they don't deserve
every negative form of energy that has come their way over the last week plus...Stop it already..
you know very well whats going on...Stop whining and purge your house of the trash officers!
Find some courage and get it done! Otherwise, we can just rebuild the entire public safety system
and YOU will be the cause of why your family cant eat...

I'm sorry but this job takes a strong and accountable human being to handle it. It not one of those
jobs that you can just "earn a living with". Not to mention, you (cops) dont even discipline your own
when they commit atrocities - you protect them- now you want to whine...

It was a very boo hoo and wah kind of response. Pretty much the anti-thesis of coming to the table. If anything, that contributes towards invalidating the police force as it is presently constituted even further. Very self-destructive, cornered animal snarling behavior.

Union bosses like that will accelerate their own extinction the more they push back with such tone deafness.

it's just strange to me that as delusional as we can be sometimes- its like DUDE have you been paying attention?!
You actually got on this mic and fired off all of that nonsense..unbelievable CS...

Can we see a group of cops step forward and condemn the ones that need to go?

I want to hear Dave Chappelle's white man voice come from the the back of that room saying, "Ahem, sir, I beg to differ" and watch their heads spin like Linda Blair.

Very unlikely it will gain meaningful traction even if they do. I'm a vocal progressive, married into a conservative family. My BIL is a cop. He's a good person, and I've always known him to do the right thing in life. He referred me to that video when I asked how he was doing yesterday. There was no discussion, just a link.

It is harrowing to realize just how much of a cult law enforcement is in this country.

Cobra...you gotta give me more context...not really sure what you are trying to convey...My childhood friend is a sergeant
in the NYPD...I plan on meeting up with him to talk about these issues in detail and get his perspective...

What strikes me in this country now is this new knee- jerk campaign to disband all police dep'ts. Are you kidding me? So you witness a murder. Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters? You witness a bank robbery in progress. Who you calling?

With no cops around who arrests criminals?

Let's face it: Left wing nut jobs deserve the country they are trying to make the USA into.

Can you spell anarchy?
Tanking again, I suppose. Is there any other way?
