Good to see how did get the surgery and got things cleaned up with his knee.
He'll always have knee issues but hopefully the surgery will allow him to play more and be even more explosive this upcoming season since there was a big difference with him not in the lineup with the pass rush.
We should have cut him and replace him with Jadeveon Clowney.
This. Ford needs limited reps, and you can’t have too many good pass rushers.
The Ninets’ offseason isn’t making any sense. No CB?
Cutting Ford and signing Clowney would have made no sense. This isn't a video game. There is a salary cap, and cutting Ford would result in $20 million of dead cap space. You can argue they shouldn't have signed Ford last offseason. Cutting him this offseason was not an option.
That said, I totally agree on CB. For the second year in a row, I've considered CB to be one of their top needs, and they have completely ignored it. It's pretty damn baffling. I think they got lucky to get the level of play out of the position that they did this past year - and even with that, all of their losses involved an inability to get stops late in a game. Their top four corners at least are all FAs next year (Moseley a RFA, I think), and they didn't do a thing at the position. It's troubling. I find myself really pulling for Verrett once again....
