Not for fuggin' nuttin' but there are these contraptions called "Pitching Screens" that have been around since, um, I don't know, about 1955. I hear they're used to protect high priced starting pitchers from injury during batting practice and intra squad games during spring training.

But Tanaka's not throwing batting practice here. I think they're doing a simulated game.

I know we poke fun at each other but I really don't believe that it's worth it to put the health and safety of these players )and their families?) on the line. Plus, even if they're cut off from their families these young men (mostly in the 20s-30s) are going to be able to hold back their urges without any human contact with the opposite sex. Prohibition, as we've learned throughout history, doesn't work.

This is going to fall apart quickly.
