Some Warrior fans I’ve spoken with said they are willing to trade their top pick for RJ.

I've heard this before too. The idea of RJ being the number 1 pick if he was in this draft is not far fetched

If RJ started out as the top prospect he would probably still be there. Zion and Ja Morant had to have incredible seasons to surpass him, nobody at the top of this draft really did

I can’t see how RJ wouldn’t go 1 in this draft.

As good as RJ looked last year, he’s a breakout candidate next season. No one from this year’s draft class has that feel.

I would take RJ #2 after Wiseman

Realistically what does #27 and #38 get you if want to move up in this draft. To be fair, I wish Frank had shown a little more value because I wouldn’t mind moving him if the Knicks absolutely had their hearts set on another player between #14-#17 for argument sake. My issue with even the thought of trading Frank is that it’s the epitome of selling low. Why on earth he can’t just become a 39% three point shooter is beyond me at this point. As fans we are asking him to play excellent defense, run the point on occasion while Knocking down 3s consistently (this should be his main point of focus every single off season, before practice, after practice. If he can’t do that by year 4 it’s time to move on.

they could also possibly move up/acquire another 1st by taking on a contract another team is trying to shed, rather than giving up an asset

with financial uncertainty due to covid, more teams could be looking to move their 1st to rid themselves of a contract. IMO this is a better use of cap space than signing some 1yr mercenaries. Still can't believe they didn't do it last offseason. 70M in cap space, but they had to give 8M to Ellington and 15M to Portis (who I actually like, just not for 15M); should have used some of the space to acquire more picks

I was just going through the 2021 draft thread in the draft forum and checking out some of the players. We can be off to a really good start this decade if we just play our cards right. If we draft right this year and are in the lottery again next year we will bring some real life back to the Garden.

I think the Wolves at 16 should be our target, if we're trying to move up. After making the trade for Russell, I'm sure they're trying to get to the next stage of their rebuild. I was thinking something like Randle, 27, and 38 for James Johnson and 16. We can move up and draft the shooter we need and they can get third banana after Towns and Russell. Since Towns can shoot, him and Randle will fit together better than any of our big's here. Unless RJ makes a big jump or we draft one of the stars of the draft, we'll be in a beter position for a top draft pick in 2021 without Randle.

I've been on the LaMelo train for the past few months after originally going with Edwards #1, but this article is starting to give me pause again w/ regards to LaVar

in the article, LaVar says they keep changing agents because the previous agents didn't get LiAngelo to sign w/ Lonzo. Will LaVar throw a fit if the Knicks dont want Gelo?

I wouldn't even sign Gelo to a 2-way contract, he's not good. I know this is the same team that signed Chris Smith (whose agent was....Leon Rose), but c'mon are we really gonna give away a roster spot? Gelo might not even be good enough for the g league
