To be fair, I wish Frank had shown a little more value because I wouldn’t mind moving him if the Knicks absolutely had their hearts set on another player between #14-#17 for argument sake. My issue with even the thought of trading Frank is that it’s the epitome of selling low. Why on earth he can’t just become a 39% three point shooter is beyond me at this point. As fans we are asking him to play excellent defense, run the point on occasion while Knocking down 3s consistently (this should be his main point of focus every single off season, before practice, after practice. If he can’t do that by year 4 it’s time to move on.
I think the Wolves at 16 should be our target, if we're trying to move up. After making the trade for Russell, I'm sure they're trying to get to the next stage of their rebuild. I was thinking something like Randle, 27, and 38 for James Johnson and 16. We can move up and draft the shooter we need and they can get third banana after Towns and Russell. Since Towns can shoot, him and Randle will fit together better than any of our big's here. Unless RJ makes a big jump or we draft one of the stars of the draft, we'll be in a beter position for a top draft pick in 2021 without Randle.
