Knicks hired Walt Perrin who was responsible for Utah drafting Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, Gordon Hayward, etc. So I wouldn’t bet on the Knicks screwing up things. Our new FO looks promising.
if we some how mange to remain a terrible organization after 3 years- then i will believe dolan
must sell in order for our direction to change...
If this game has confirmed one thing for me it's that the Knicks need to be better at asset management. Their biggest deficiency imo is identifying young players with growth potential and committing to them long term. Not just in terms of the draft. You don't necessarily need to keep those players but you need to have bargain longer term contracts to get high level value in trades. Or to keep. It's not always the primary strategy to take but when you're bad it's the way to get out of the mire.
I hope this group moves the Knicks away from that Kick the Can ****. If they don't, it's pretty clear that Dolan will truly never change because I KNOW they have the knowhow now. And, subsequently, the Knicks will continue not to get better.
