Lakers were looking to move Monk and pick 22.
You put out for assets, no matter how big or small.

Didn't even know about the coke thing

Honestly, I thought he took a pretty decent step this year, but the opportunity cost of keeping him vs having the cap to sign my picks next year wasn't worth it. Plus now my cap situation's pretty much un-f*cked cause I have space to sign my draft picks this year and next, then I have like 600 in expirings to work with, and all it cost me was basically moving down from 12 to 21 this year
