Your next positive post will be your first, literally. 92 posts, and every single one is negative or complaining, it’s actually impressive. Even more so considering it’s about a team with a top five net rating

You're right.

The Celtics looked great yesterday!!!11!!! Banner 18 incoming, we have the best bench in the NBA and we're totally better than the Bucks and Raptors, all hail king Ainge!!!!

Better?

I say it how it is, all i want is this team to do well, dont question that.

I'll make sure to suck up to the team regardless of how they're performing from now on so that i don't hurt your feelings then.

Something about this team has irked me for some time. Way before the scrimmage. We all knew the IT/Crowder/Bradley Celtics weren't going anywhere far, but man were they fun to watch. They had grit, fight and most of all, effort. This team has talent, but i don't see the effort. I see a lot of what I've seen the past couple years. Settling for outside jump shots, 3s, and avoiding the paint. They don't feel like a team that really wants it. Or maybe they do, but they're poorly constructed. That could certainly be the case having lost Horford. Either way, it's very frustrating.

Looks like Kemba is QUESTIONABLE (due to load management) for 2nd scrimmage. Game-time decision?

Knowing those IT/Crowder/Bradley Celtics had ZERO chance of winning anything wasn't that great to watch for me. Yes it was fun to watch IT have some great scoring nights but at the end of the day you knew they were getting their brakes beaten off by the Cavs and had no chance of winning. You knew they were multiple pieces away and that the Cavs were just on a whole different level.

This team just needs better bench production. There is no scoring threat on the bench other than Kanter. Celtics have top end talent with 2 all stars, a 20 PPG scorer and historically good in playoffs in Brown, and Hayward a former all star giving you 17/6/4 on 50/39/84 splits. That top 4 is the best in the NBA in my opinion. The difference is Kemba needs to be healthy.

I disagree with the premise this year hasn’t been fun...I’ve enjoyed watching tatums leap, brown being much improved and overall chemistry this team seemed to have.

Perhaps it’s because of how BAD last year really was but I think this team has played hard for the most part and at the level I thought they would and overall has played with effort an overwhelming majority of the time

SOLID Wutt-the-Fact of the Day: Brad Wanamaker, who celebrates his 31st birthday today, has a twin brother. WTF. Didn't know that before today. (Not that any of you care.)

Don't feel a need to always appeal to the homers. Some people can't handle anything unless they're talking directly to Tommy.

The shot selection of the players on the current team is a function of their skillsets. None of Tatum, Brown, Hayward and Walker are guys who score in the paint.

We've seen Jaylen and Jayson be conscientious of trying to get to the line, it doesn't work. They don't have that in their skillset. Gordo has the skills finishing-wise but he doesn't seem comfortable for whatever reason, be it diminished athleticism or whatever. Kemba has always been more of an outside shooter.

Gordo has the skills finishing-wise but he doesn't seem comfortable for whatever reason, be it diminished athleticism or whatever. Kemba has always been more of an outside shooter.

Going by the numbers...

Jaylen (3.1 -> 5.3) and Jayson's (3.1 -> 8.1) scoring via drives have both increased from last season mainly due to increased touches/usage/scoring opportunities. Kemba's drives and scores off them have decreased significantly (9.1 -> 6.5). He tends to pull up from three more now or stop midrange for a jumper. Never really been an efficient finisher inside. While he's driving less this season, his accuracy from near the rim is the highest its been in his career (still below league average). Hayward surprisingly is both driving slightly more (9.2 -> 9.6) and scoring more on those drives (4.9 -> 5.6) compared to his last season in Utah. Considering his usage is down in Boston, maintaining/increasing those numbers is quite impressive.

EDIT: Tatum is the only Celtics player in the top 20 in points per game on drives. He's 19th, honoring his age, slightly ahead of Butler and Lebron.

Kawhi is 3-18 and 0-8 3PT tonight vs the Wizards. I can’t imagine the reaction if that was Tatum or Kemba on here lol

Damn, with all the crap going on in the world you'd think people would be excited to see any games at all.

Not one team won the chip by playing well in SCRIMMAGE game 1! I don't mean you shouldn't discuss how they didn't play well, I just don't get how some people have taken that one game as proof positive that the Celtics were as bad as they thought they were all season. It's weird to me.

Like the people hyping up how Philly beat up a team in SCRIMMAGE game 1, after a 3 month break, when we dusted that same team both games when they weren't looking like a complete mess in REAL games. You'd think Philly ran over a good team, you know like the team we played! As bad as our playoff squad looked we still only lost by 5 when they played! We got a lot of things to round into form but that half didn't mean crap, it was just to get our guys started.

I'm more negative than Nancy during game threads but sickeningly optimistic whilst yelling "CHAMPIONSHIPS!" outside of them.
