They had grit, fight and most of all, effort. This team has talent, but i don't see the effort. I see a lot of what I've seen the past couple years. Settling for outside jump shots, 3s, and avoiding the paint. They don't feel like a team that really wants it. Or maybe they do, but they're poorly constructed. That could certainly be the case having lost Horford. Either way, it's very frustrating.
Knowing those IT/Crowder/Bradley Celtics had ZERO chance of winning anything wasn't that great to watch for me. Yes it was fun to watch IT have some great scoring nights but at the end of the day you knew they were getting their brakes beaten off by the Cavs and had no chance of winning. You knew they were multiple pieces away and that the Cavs were just on a whole different level.
This team just needs better bench production. There is no scoring threat on the bench other than Kanter. Celtics have top end talent with 2 all stars, a 20 PPG scorer and historically good in playoffs in Brown, and Hayward a former all star giving you 17/6/4 on 50/39/84 splits. That top 4 is the best in the NBA in my opinion. The difference is Kemba needs to be healthy.
