I'm currently watching Showtime's Nurse Jackie (series ended years ago) and was surprised to see Carmelo Anthony lol. His character is in rehab. I know his wife is an actress and was on Power. I just didn't expect Melo to appear on a scripted show.

EDIT: It appears to be more of a cameo, like high-profile players tend to do, than an actual recurring role.

Edie Falco was very good in the Sopranos too.

Nah, I'm rewatching the Expanse. Better than Game of Thrones.

Another thing I've been rewatching is the Young Hornblower series with Ioan Griffud and Robert Lindsay. Griffud wanted to continue the series to remake the later Hornblower books, starting with Beat to Quarters, and he was willing to help finance them himself. But I fear that ship has sailed. The Gregory Peck/Virginia Mayo version of Captain Horatio Hornblower is not terrible, but the Emmy award-winning Young Hornblower series is better.

I've heard it's a good show, but have never watched it as I read a lot so I'd rather just read the books as they are always better. They are just on the back burner with so much other stuff right now.

The Expanse books are better than Game of Thrones too. The first one (of seven) is Leviathan Wakes, but there are some shorter prequels covering evens referenced in Leviathan Wakes. The writing is crisper with fewer cliches than you will find in George R.R. Martin's books.

You have to pay for the books, but the TV series is free if you have Amazon Prime.

I love both series but have to disagree. Expanse is nearly completed and GOT may have gone off rails but first 3 GOT novels are the very best that SciFi or Fantasy has to offer. That said, the last Expanse novel was incredible. Can’t wait for the last one. This upcoming season of the TV show on Amazon should be the most entertaining yet too as book 5 was a page turner.

I like ASoIaF, but I find it a bit overrated in general. I read a lot of fantasy and I doubt it'd be in my top 5 series. I'm actually reading the first book of Abraham's The Long Price Quartet right now.

Yeah I did. Ending left me a little dissatisfied but overall it was good because it was so well-acted.

Almost done with Yellowstone. Man, so many twists and turns and surprises. I got my wife into it and she can't believe the things she sees.

Agreed. It got the go ahead for a season 2. Be curious to see where the new story goes

I'd love to see them explore Della's life a bit further. I thought Juliet Rylance was just magnetic on the screen. Explore her relationships, maybe family while she prepares to become a lawyer. Put her in some kind of compromising position. She was the moral conscience on the show this season. I'd love to see them put her in an unfamiliar situation where she is called into question. Just an idea.

Teenage bounty hunters is super fun. The leads are great, especially the one who plays Blair.

Lovecraft Country is the ****.

Teenage Bounty Hunters scared me. Seemed dumb. But I suppose, it can't be worse than The Order, which I am into. But yeah, LC is just balls!
