yeah that's a good one. i feel like he had a little more...toolsy-ness boosting his stock than the other guys i'm thinking of? although i guess wiggins was supposed to be a great defensive talent lol

i'm picturing "great scorer, might not be good at anything else, and also he might not even be that efficient as a scorer" as the specific prospect mold i have in mind. rj barrett is another one.

(but like i just mentioned with wiggins, my memory might be foggy about how prospects were perceived at the time of the draft based on how they ended up performing on the league)

Jaylen Brown also was pretty much a bust before this year. So if he had gone to Minnesota and probably not given much development, he probably isn't making the jump he made this year. All AK has been talking about is developing players, so with Edwards, who has all the tools, you hope your coaching staff can maximize what he can do. Also like some had said this isn't an exact science. If it was Giannis wouldn't have gone 15th.

Huh? He's been greatly improving since last season. This season has show that he's a star in the making but he's always been a good player.

Before this season he was averaging for his career 11.2 ppg, 4 rebounds and 1.3 assists with a 13.8 PER while starting half his games. Last season he was averaging 13 points and 4.2 rebounds. He was drafted #3. He has not been always good.

No matter how indifferent I may be towards the NBA and the Bulls, I always get super excited about the lottery and the draft. I know this isn't a particularly strong draft class, but eff it, let's move up to top-3.

I thought jalen was taken for his intangibles not as a scorer with not much else. Didn't follow him too closely that draft so I could be wrong lol

You don't draft a wing that high thinking they're going to stink as a scorer.

This is not to say that they sometimes don't but it's certainly not like a GM thinks "yeah this 12PPG glue guy is really gonna be worth the #3 pick."

I mean I didn't say brown couldn't be a scorer but he showed the winning potential while anthony edwards from the scouting I've read didn't show that.

Idk I'm just not excited to have ANOTHER prospect like Lavine to mold into a winning player. Lavine is already taking his sweet time. And then like others said, there is someone like Wiggins who never really got it

Just a half-hour until the Bulls get the 7th pick. But just in case, here's our good luck charm:

Krause looks like he's pushing out one monster of a turd.

I think that's a pretty accurate description of his post dynasty rebuild... he pushed out one monster turd.

True. I agree. That's why I don't want to add another negative player to the struggle
