yeah that's a good one. i feel like he had a little more...toolsy-ness boosting his stock than the other guys i'm thinking of? although i guess wiggins was supposed to be a great defensive talent lol
i'm picturing "great scorer, might not be good at anything else, and also he might not even be that efficient as a scorer" as the specific prospect mold i have in mind. rj barrett is another one.
(but like i just mentioned with wiggins, my memory might be foggy about how prospects were perceived at the time of the draft based on how they ended up performing on the league)
Jaylen Brown also was pretty much a bust before this year. So if he had gone to Minnesota and probably not given much development, he probably isn't making the jump he made this year. All AK has been talking about is developing players, so with Edwards, who has all the tools, you hope your coaching staff can maximize what he can do. Also like some had said this isn't an exact science. If it was Giannis wouldn't have gone 15th.
Huh? He's been greatly improving since last season. This season has show that he's a star in the making but he's always been a good player.
Before this season he was averaging for his career 11.2 ppg, 4 rebounds and 1.3 assists with a 13.8 PER while starting half his games. Last season he was averaging 13 points and 4.2 rebounds. He was drafted #3. He has not been always good.
