Is Fournier exercising his PO?

I think that is most likely right now. Can't see there being much money on the table with teams looking to save money

I'd do that deal. I Love Fournier. I would love to keep Otto, but I get the sense the Bulls are committed to moving on from him after this season, regardless, so better to get a free look at Fournier. I like Aminu, but his deal is a little rich.
How about:
Porter/Carter/Arci for Fournier/Bamba/Aminu?

wonderboy2 wrote:Another possibility I thought of is trying to trade Sato for Darius Garland. Cavs have to small point guards in Garland in Sexton. I don’t think that pairing will work. Maybe the bulls can try and con the cavs into taking Sato for Garland or Kevin Porter.

CHI-->CHA: Young, Satoransky, #4
CHA-->CHI: Batum, #3, #32
Why for Charlotte?
- While Batum is expiring, he's a dead weight contract on a team that desperately needs contributors. As constructed, Thad and Sato would currently start for the Hornets.
- They're only dropping down one draft slot and getting two useful players to replace that dead weight. There's a strong likelihood they get who they would have chosen anyways at #3.
- CHA is not going to become a major player in FA until/unless they get a true franchise player.
- Sato and Young are a lot more tradeable than Batum from a salary matching standpoint.
- I think #32 is fair for the Bulls to ask for in addition to #3... but if necessary the Bulls can send #44 in the deal also.
Why for Chicago?
- Batum is expiring while Sato/Young are guaranteed a combined $11mm in 2021-2022.
- Move up to #3 from #4 is good, though it isn't a huge jump. Like with the Hornets, I'm not sure the Bulls BPA at #3 is any different than at #4.
- #32 gives another shot at a potential contributor in what's believed to be a well distributed draft in terms of talent.
Assuming the Bulls only sign 1yr deals to fill out the roster from there, it leaves them with the flexibility to have enough cap space for two max salaries (AD+Giannis) and then some while still keeping LaVine, White, Carter, and the 2020 #3.

I want to Draft Edwards. If we did, I'd love to see a bench line-up of Arci, Edwards, Sato, Hutch, Gafford...Even though I like Arci as our primary back-up PG, Sato has versatility value on this roster next season.
That said, was thinking about a deal for Simmons:
Lauri, Otto, Sato for Simmons, Horford, Korkmaz - basically, we need to take on Horford's horrid deal to get Simmons. Al's still a starter-level talent...will give WCJ his shot at PF, Simmons takes the point-forward position.

Charlotte says no. Batum is way more valuable then Sato. No team wants him. Bulls will probably have to wait it out a year before they cut him.
sco wrote:I think we all agree Batum is Felicio-level done, but they gotta be regretting that Rozier contract, which is 2 years. What about Porter/Markkanen/Sato for Rozier/Filler/#3?

What the hell? Really? You don't take a chance on Deni over these guys? Or Even Okoro, Williams or Nesmith?
All these guys have their own red flags. Herro would be an epic sell-high for Riley. Great shooter, great steal of a pick, but he's playing with Butler, Bam and a deep squad.
