In a single game scenario, simply being on with the right lineup, or when a run is made can get you a nice +/-, so it's a noisy piece of data, not a 1 to 1 correlation to plus means you played well and minus means you played poorly. Sometimes I actually laud that basketball started adding +/- data to the boxscore because I think it causes people to make conclusions that aren't necessarily correct, but it is there now. The least we can say from it is that the lineups with Reggie on were not hampered by his presents to any degree where they were losing, and seeing that he made shots, we can suggest he contributed to their positive, even if his overall presence was neutral in the actual 5 man lineups. What it doesn't tell us of course is if those lineups could have done even better with someone else, multiple game +/- tends to give us more of an idea. So being fair, Reggie is -8, 0, +5, +16 over 5 games, the least we can say is that we are NOT losing because of the minutes Reggie is on the floor.
That said, I agree that similar to last game Reggie is low hanging fruit, Reggie did not put himself in the game or devise the defensive game plan which was supposedly not followed through. He didn't force shots, he was 4/7 3PT, the team did well when he was on the floor.

He's in the paint literally all game long. The media sucks him off constantly 24/7 and now we just turned him into a cult figure. And really Luka can do his thing and get his points but why are we allowing Hardaway Jr, Curry, and Burks to looks like all stars?? I'm sick of this sh*t! Throw Coffey, Mann, or MaGruder in for a few minutes and see what they can give.

Apology is not enough. If it were, people would not have been losing jobs for using racist, sexist or homophobic slurs. Yes, "white boy" is a racist slur, because of how it is perceived.
This is something we forgot to discuss with the excitement of game 4 and playoffs. I think a 1-3 game suspension would have been appropriate.

Well, now we're making progress, lol. Reggie's not the villain here nor was he in previous games. Plus/minus is a crude tool but it's what we have. It can be noisy but it also provides SOME numerical confirmation for "eye tests," which can be too subjective even for coaches, let alone amateur "experts" who have never played the game.
If a guy's a team-best plus-16 when half the rest of the squad is in the minus, he's probably not the problem. And you can deservedly d-bag Trezz all you want for his not-misleading minus-19 in 17 minutes but don't overlook Shamet's putrid minus-15 in 23--many of those minutes with the starters.
The Lou-Reggie tandem was around plus+15, yet the "eye test" narrative is that combination kills us. Well, not today. They kept us in this thing, but some people only see the bad and ignore the rest. Imagine how bad Kawhi's minus-13 would have been without the minutes he played with Lou-Reggie!

I mentioned it at the last game thread.
He definitely deserves a suspension for this.
If Luka called him a BABB or even worse....dun dun dun....a BAN, Silver may have shutdown the entire bubble.
I find it absolutely comical (read: not comical at all) that the NBA is just pretending this didn't happen.

At this point, anytime he gets the ball, I'm hoping he doesn't shoot, wide open or not... That is not a good thing when he's supposed to be the second best player on the team...
I was curious how Gallinari is doing; he's averaging 22 ppg on 44%, and 37% from 3... this makes me sad.

Lol. Seriously? The Lou Reggie tandem worked on offense but so what? That doesn't mean you go with that tandem on defense with 3.7 seconds to go when Luka had been raping Reggie again and again?

Can't believe he blew that... That was inexcusable. And with all the talk about what the team, coach is or isn't doing, he shows up this series is a sweep.
Think about the fact that the team put up 133 with him having 9 POINTS in 45 minutes or his game 2 stinker. This falls on PG more than anyone because he's being paid to deliver along WITH Kawhi

He finally gets to the rim on Luka....wide open...Clippers up 2 at the time and smokes the layup.
Woulda put us up 4.
I believe they hit a 3 and went up 1 after his missed lay up.
Guy probably has some mild form of the yips.
Then he hoists up some contested 3 pointer in the 4th after going however long without shooting because....he has his pride...and he wants to show he did something....he wants to show he will shoot it.
Just lol.
That guy is completely in his own head and has mind **** himself.
