Would be hilariously awesome if the Thunder beat the Rockets.
They said during the broadcast that OKC boasts the best 5 man combination in the league- can't remember who they said it was composed of, other than Shai was on it.
Yeah it's the 3 PG lineup. CP3, SGA, Schroder with Gallo as a the stretch 4 and Adams in for defense. You've got 3 ballhandlers who all shoot very well and probably the league's best stretch 4 and one true big who doesn't want or need the ball in his hands, he just focuses on defense and knocking defenders down on screens.
At least this was the case in the regular season, not sure who the best playoff 5 man is.
Adams is a defensive machine. I don't think he's gotten enough credit during those years where 'MVP' Westbrook kept carrying them to the playoffs. Consummate intangibles center, like Noah but stronger, better screen-setter and entirely ball un-reliant (which is great if you have elite playmakers like Russ or CP3).
When he became "available" last summer, I half-considered he'd be a good trade idea, but just seeing the number of prospect big men on this dumb roster, I said nah... but in hindsight, with the way Wendell and Lauri looked, he might've been a good buy-low.
