They speak about it in between 37:45-45:00 mark.

He mentions Jimmy's people all mentioning Lowry as the guy Jimmy likes, they also said he has a fondness for Holiday. Apparently Jimmy thinks Mitchell doesn't do enough other than score. Ethan and Jorge Sedano both confirm that the Oladipo stuff is more coming from Oladipo's camp than coming from the Heat. Then Ethan and Greg Sylvander both say Bam's the one that likes Mitchell.

Jimmy and Lowry are close friends and have been for a number of years now but Lowry only has 1-3 good years left with him. Bam, Butler, Lowry, Dragic, Robinson and Herro would be a great core for the next 2-4 years.

Maybe he's tired MOS? There's got to be a lot of toll on his body.. it makes sense to simplify his game. It's still good for wut 37 ppg on good efficiency :dontknow:

They can't probably resign guys like Morris and Reggie Jackson. Lou will be 34 and he's a tiny man. Pat Bev doesn't seem like he can stay healthy. Who wants PG for 30 mil per year in pandemic? They probably have no choice but to give it another go and that's hardly the end of the world as long as Kawhi

Let's not go crazy here, any team in the league would take PG in 2 seconds.

They got some room to operate. Shamet and Lou on a good value contracts, Gruder as a nice filler, maybe S'n'T Harrell for a different piece. In theory they can bundle a package for Lowry or someone like that

Let me enjoy Clippers demise MOS :x

But yeah they could definitely tweak some things in the off-szn if they fall short. You were predicting that they might make a move mid-szn IIRC.

I'm still low on George Paul though. He's a streaky shooter with a bum shoulder. Good luck with that MOS :x

Would draft Wiseman. Folks getting carried away with all this new fangled, shoot the ball from half court silliness. Somebody has to rebound and play defense. JW also got that good form on his jumper. Long as he'll too. Wiseman...easy.

I agree DoM. Folks getting carried away alright. Got mods going rogue quoting Chad Kroger lyrics. smdh

The Pups win the lottery and this guy pops out of nowhere after several months of hiding smdh.

I mean, you did get rid of Wiggins and all but you surely know better than anyone you guys are just gonna draft another bust and proceed to miss the playoffs for next 10 years at least and that's me being nice.

Don't do this to yourself Goph, don't get you hopes up, you know it's just gonna hurt more in the end.

Holiday is interesting. He's 30 and plays both ends. I can't see Nawlins trading him though. You need guys like him to teach the youth. He's also about the Pels most iconic, franchise type player.

Lowry will be 35 next year (!). You just can't do that. Also, I'd be tired as hell of all the flopping. That's no bueno.

Mitchell can put the ball into the bucket. He's going to cost you. If he's the best you can get, then you get him, but will he forsake a sure payday to come play with Bam? Maybe...

Dipo has a lot of reasons to come here. This is his hub. He fits our timelilne, and plays both ends. I really feel like he's the most attainable, best value type player out there. Indy has little bargaining power. Nobody is going to want him, knowing he lusts for the Heat. It's a value buy, at the right price.

Eh, I feel like people say that about every no.1 option that doesn't win.

A healthy Chris Paul and/or a few bounces or calls going his way in 2018 and we would be talking about the guy who took down the fully healthy Warriors with KD and not those half dead scrubs the Raps barely beat last season (what up Jay, Ovo?). Replace him with KD now that i'm mentioned him and tell me he doesn't win multiple rings.

Still can't believe people actually hold KD in a higher regard only due to those worthless rings while taking advantage of historically bad defenses.

I'd actually bet on Warriors 3-peating had Harden joined them considering the guy is an ironman playing every game, carrying his team's offense night in night out which he definitely wouldn't be doing on the Warriors. He'd probably be on that Kawhi load management plan the moment he'd feel any soreness.

I'm not even a fan of the guy or his play style and while he sure has his flaws this line of thinking is exactly why you see more and more guys ring chasing. I mean, you could put him on the Hornets or the Wolves and he never gets close to even making the conference Finals or you could put him on the Warriors as I said earlier and he'd win multiple rings, that does really make him any worse or better as a player?

Bam 5 in DPOY voting! Hopefully this leads to him getting a first team spot.

Good recognition for him and his amazing season.

Each year, you really wonder how some of these guys voting get the right to.

Pat Beverley got a 1st place vote and two 3rd place votes? ANDRE DRUMMOND got a 1st place vote!? Hassan got a 2nd place vote!?

It's like these guys don't watch any games at all, look at who is leading the boards or blocks charts and just go 'that'll do'. In fact I'm about 1000% sure that's exactly what happens.

I'd like it to be more serious as well. You should get your voting privileges removed if you pull some dumb **** out of your butt. \

However, its just an award, and the winner is usually a deserving recipient.

One thing I'm interested in, and can't really be expected to have a non-homerish take, is who is the better defender between Bam and Simmons?

That's a tough one - both are quality defenders. I've obviously seen a lot more of Bam as I watch every Heat game, whereas I tune into some Philly. I'd say Bam is probably the stronger defender, as I've seen him limit excellent players like Giannis/KAT/Embiid etc, mostly by individual play.

Simmons would be a 'flashier' defender, in the way he preys upon the passing lanes and gets out in transition.

Bam protects the paint and is equally adept defending smalls on the switch. Ben is terrific on the perimeter, but I'm not sure he's the shot blocking threat Bam is.

Therefore I'd go Bam.

In terms of offense-only players both Mitchell and Murray could be the GOATs if they played every game vs eachother

It might be the case that if CP3 was there they might have made the finals but that's not a certainty. If you remove KD off that team completely and they stay healthy they'd likely win multiple rings anyway. I don't think KD has proven that he can take a team on his back and take them to the promise land either but I still think KD has more dynamic skill set to be able to do it. Running the same Iso plays over and over becomes easier and easier to guard in a playoff series the deeper you go. Once that happens Harden doesn't know how to react and just starts shooting a poorer percentage which leads to losses.
