Seems like a trade just for the sake of making one.

He had a bad year, but in Miami he was just as good as Spencer.

Better shooter and much better defender.

He also fits the team way better.

We don't really need Dinwiddie off the bench if we have Levert. And he likely leaves next off season anyway.

Every time I watch Richardson all I see is a standard issue chucker with average shooting, mediocre efficiency, decent athleticism and solid D with average at best BBIQ.

He’s not taller or longer than Spencer, he’s much smaller in stature and strength, it’s questionable if he’s a better shooter, etc.

Spencer is the better player by a wide margin. Maybe you’re getting hung up on the point guard label, but Dinwiddie is a legit 6’5 with a solid wingspan and can man either guard spot or the 3 in small ball lineups.

I’ll take a year of Spencer over a guy like Richardson for longer.

Its not questionable that hes a better shooter. Spencer was a horrid 3 pt shooter last year.

Even in a down year, Richardson was better than him.

And despite his size, Spencer has never been a good defender.

I can see why you don't like Richardson. But ideally he does all the things well that this would need.

But I could be convinced that hes not doing the things he supposed to do.

Dallas is not going to trade Seth Curry. Dude is one of the most elite shooters in the league.

It's true, Seth is one of the most lethal snipers in the game. However, I think there is still a way that we could pry him away from Dallas.

They are hoping to land a big 2021 free agent (*cough* Giannis *cough"), and they need to dump salary in order to open up Max cap space next summer. We have an opportunity 2 pounce on their cheap, efficient role players who are locked in long-term. It would cost us Dinwiddie and Temple, probably Allen would also have to be in the mix. But if we're getting back one of their Bigs, I would do the deal.

The only realistic way to pry Seth from Dallas would be a S&T with Joe and that’s not going to happen and it shouldn’t quite frankly.

You are incredible on imagine trades that are always pretty bad for us. Why trade Levert for two role players?

I feel like a lot of you guys tremendously overrate Caris.

Kleber slides into the starting 4 perfectly and Curry is one of the best shooting bench guards in the league.

In my opinion, you overrate every player in the league, except Nets players.
We don't need a starting 4, there's KD already!

We need a wing defender at either the two or three spot. KD can play the 4 next to Jarrett Allen.

Nah bro, you just grow an emotional attachment so strong to our homegrown guys you’ve got blinders on, imho.

And I see Kleber as a great fit with KD, personally.

I’m with MDB, no way I’m giving up Allen for Kleber and Curry.

They want Allen we need to start talking Porzingis and we know that’s not happening.

Beal has 2 years left and then a player option in the 3rd year. It’s not a 1+1. He has 2 full years left.

In the same interview where Beal acknowledged KD and Kyrie, right after that, he went on a long rant about him wanting to stay in Washington because they are going to build a team around him and how it would be more special to win in Washington.

So why didn’t Kyrie include Boston in his original list? What’s the point of making a list then? Kyrie never wanted to play in Boston and left as soon as he could. These are the facts.

If Beal went to his team and said I want to go to Brooklyn. They will say ok that’s great. We’re sending you to Denver. Similar to what the Cavs did with Kyrie and what the Spurs did with Kawhi. 2 years left on a contract = zero leverage.

There is no point even discussing Beal because it’s never going to happen. Marks isn’t dumb enough to think a backcourt of two 5’11 guys making the max is ever going to work in the NBA.
No, he signed for an additional 1 year with a player option to his existing contract. He was going to be FA in 2021, now he's going to be FA in 2022 instead. He does have two years left but that's what I meant by 1+1 extension.

Yeah obviously Beal isn't going to say "screw my team and John Wall, I want Brooklyn now", what did you expect him to say there? The fact that he acknowledged Nets interest in a positive way is the only notable thing there.

Of course in the end, Wizards can do whatever they want, but Nets can field a competitive offer for Beal, hence why Beal to Nets rumors have been done by national sports media, not just a bunch of Nets fans on RealGM.

Your last line deserves a "What the ****   " Surely, you're trolling there, because its not the first time you've said something that stupid and inaccurate.

No it’s true. Bleacher Report named him the worst defensive SG in the league. Zach Lowe in his all-star ballot article said Bradley Beal’s defensive metrics are worse than Trae Young.

There’s no point discussing this because Marks isn’t stupid enough to have all of our entire salary cap tied up in 3 all offense no defense players. Beal is a basket case defensively. For what we need, Wes Matthews, Josh Richardson, Will Barton, Derek White, even Bruce Brown would be better at a fraction of the cost.

Beal’s Wizards had the 2nd worst defensive rating in NBA history because he’s so trash defensively. He can’t even fight over screens or contest shots properly because he’s too slow, too small, and too dumb. Not really interested in seeing teams score 140 points against us every night.

Don’t be like Billy King and just try to throw a bunch of big names together.

This point has been addressed a bunch of times in this thread, I'm not gonna repeat it all over again.

There's nothing Billy King about trying to trade for Beal, wtf

Billy King traded for prime D Will (with injury concerns), well past it Gerald Wallace, past his prime Joe Johnson, and washed KG & Pierce. D Will succumbed to injury issues and questionable mentality, but the rest were already done. Trading for Beal is nothing like that, stop with the stupid equivalence.

Lastly, the last line that I was referring to what you calling Kyrie and Beal " two 5'11" guys", which is stupidly inaccurate. Maybe your username is a giveaway to your weird perception of height, but Kyrie and Beal are nowhere near 5'11". Kyrie is 6'3" in shoes, Beal is between 6'4" and 6'5" in shoes. It's the second time at least you've said something like that, and its utterly bizarre.

It is exactly like Billy King because you don’t understand that his role would be reduced here.

Beal as a 3rd option gives us what? Maybe 20 points per game?

I’m not trading Dinwiddie, Prince, LeVert, Allen, and a ton of 1st round picks for a glorified Jordan Clarkson.

Beal is a young star that could be with the organization even after KD. That's not Billy King. Billy King is backing up the truck for Chris Paul's leadership.

We would have to deplete all our assets for a player that doesn’t really move the needle for us. That’s vintage Billy King.

Beal as a 3rd option is overkill. He won’t have the same usage, shots, touches etc. You’re pretty much trading all our depth and picks for a glorified Dennis Schroeder.

LeVert, Dinwiddie, Prince, Allen, and all the cost controlled 1st round picks are infinitely more valuable to us than a 20 point scorer who can’t defend.

https://craftednba.com/player-cats/sieve

Another site that ranks Beal as the worst defensive SG in the league. Not just below average. Dead last.

The truth is we don’t know how KD will look coming back and With Kyrie’s injury issues, I rather us train our depth(which is pretty damn good) and see how things work towards the trade deadline next season

After seeing many threads about Beal, Gordon, and many of the same players over and over I wanted to discuss a name that I haven't seen.

I was thinking about Tobias Harris and what it would take to get him onto the team.

His horrible contract shouldn't be that big of a problem since we won't have any cap room to speak of with KD and Kyrie on the team anyway.

Philly is a mess right now and I would have to think that he could be had.

From a talent standpoint I don't see why he wouldn't be a valuable contributor if we landed him.

To match salaries Prince (once his new contract kicks in) would be going to Philly.

I also think that Philly would want one of Spencer Dinwiddie, Caris LeVert, or Joe Harris going the other way.

Not sure about what else would be involved to match salaries.

Involving a third team might mean Tobias Harris goes there and someone else comes here.

If DJ or Allen goes out to match salaries, perhaps a third team sends us a center.

There is a lot to unpack with this one but between Allen and Dinwiddie's upcoming contract demands, our needs, and the difficulty some of our current players have sharing the ball there could be an opportunity to improve our team.

Philly is motivated to make some changes so Harris is not untouchable.

I would also think that Philly sends out draft picks to unload this contract.

What do you think?

Do we want any part of this guy?

Tobias Harris shot 13% from 3 and 38% from the field in the playoffs, and he's the highest paid player on the Sixers.
