Beal has 2 years left and then a player option in the 3rd year. It’s not a 1+1. He has 2 full years left.
In the same interview where Beal acknowledged KD and Kyrie, right after that, he went on a long rant about him wanting to stay in Washington because they are going to build a team around him and how it would be more special to win in Washington.
So why didn’t Kyrie include Boston in his original list? What’s the point of making a list then? Kyrie never wanted to play in Boston and left as soon as he could. These are the facts.
If Beal went to his team and said I want to go to Brooklyn. They will say ok that’s great. We’re sending you to Denver. Similar to what the Cavs did with Kyrie and what the Spurs did with Kawhi. 2 years left on a contract = zero leverage.
There is no point even discussing Beal because it’s never going to happen. Marks isn’t dumb enough to think a backcourt of two 5’11 guys making the max is ever going to work in the NBA.
No, he signed for an additional 1 year with a player option to his existing contract. He was going to be FA in 2021, now he's going to be FA in 2022 instead. He does have two years left but that's what I meant by 1+1 extension.
Yeah obviously Beal isn't going to say "screw my team and John Wall, I want Brooklyn now", what did you expect him to say there? The fact that he acknowledged Nets interest in a positive way is the only notable thing there.
Of course in the end, Wizards can do whatever they want, but Nets can field a competitive offer for Beal, hence why Beal to Nets rumors have been done by national sports media, not just a bunch of Nets fans on RealGM.
Your last line deserves a "What the ****

" Surely, you're trolling there, because its not the first time you've said something that stupid and inaccurate.
No it’s true. Bleacher Report named him the worst defensive SG in the league. Zach Lowe in his all-star ballot article said Bradley Beal’s defensive metrics are worse than Trae Young. There’s no point discussing this because Marks isn’t stupid enough to have all of our entire salary cap tied up in 3 all offense no defense players. Beal is a basket case defensively. For what we need, Wes Matthews, Josh Richardson, Will Barton, Derek White, even Bruce Brown would be better at a fraction of the cost.
Beal’s Wizards had the 2nd worst defensive rating in NBA history because he’s so trash defensively. He can’t even fight over screens or contest shots properly because he’s too slow, too small, and too dumb. Not really interested in seeing teams score 140 points against us every night.
Don’t be like Billy King and just try to throw a bunch of big names together.
This point has been addressed a bunch of times in this thread, I'm not gonna repeat it all over again.
There's nothing Billy King about trying to trade for Beal, wtf
Billy King traded for prime D Will (with injury concerns), well past it Gerald Wallace, past his prime Joe Johnson, and washed KG & Pierce. D Will succumbed to injury issues and questionable mentality, but the rest were already done. Trading for Beal is nothing like that, stop with the stupid equivalence.
Lastly, the last line that I was referring to what you calling Kyrie and Beal " two 5'11" guys", which is stupidly inaccurate. Maybe your username is a giveaway to your weird perception of height, but Kyrie and Beal are nowhere near 5'11". Kyrie is 6'3" in shoes, Beal is between 6'4" and 6'5" in shoes. It's the second time at least you've said something like that, and its utterly bizarre.
