See alot of Gary Trent Jr. in his game which has translated well with the Blazers.

Solid defensively and good athlete. Moves well and explosive jumper. Could learn to D up. Good IQ off ball but nothing great. Strong and holds his position.

Offensively his shot looks really good. Not much off the dribble but catch and shoot big potential. Spaces the floor and gets open for 3s. Can really score with the ball in his hands. Lots of secondary moves. Can really finish with authority and lob threat. Plays hard and with an edge. Has PNR potential with his handle.

He's super old for a freshman but I still see lots of growth potential. Maybe a Jordan Clarkson type scorer.

Are you kidding? Gary Trent had elite shooting stats at Duke.

Cassius Stanley is Ham Diallo with a smaller frame.

Yeah, I don't think that's the player comparison I would make. One's a shooter/scorer with deep range, and the other is an athletic freak who has a lot of work to do in the shooting department.

Nesmith
52.2% 3PT
68.5% TS
4.3 3's Made Per Game
20 Years Old

Bane
42.2% 3PT
57.3% TS
2.9 3's Made Per Game
22 Years Old

What numbers you ask? I mean pretty much Nesmith statistically has better shooting numbers this entire season over Bane all around. Don't care about career numbers as Bane is a 4 year college player and only this year did his attempts increase.

Yeah, Desmond Bane slipped thru the cracks on my radar..

He can stroke it for sure.... I love his Ast%...That speaks to his IQ.

He reminds me of Malcolm Brogdan.

It's just that Nesmith has a terrific physical profile. If he improves his individual defense (already a competent team defender) and his offensive awareness, he's could be really be something.
I'm not even mentioning his handles because I feel that would be unrealistic. I mean, a 52% 3pt shooter on high volume with great handles would easily be a top3 pick in this draft.
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

After doing more research, I’m starting to warm up to Haliburton. I’m still skeptical about his skinny frame and odd shooting mechanics, but he impact the game in many ways. His potential may not be as high as some of the top prospects, but he does have a high floor.

Yeah, no need to post Nesmith’s freshman season when he played 2xs more games and shot 31% from 3.

No need to care. More data doesn’t matter. Larger sample size means nothing.

He's going #50 in ESPNs mock. You can pick him up for $ if you want to take a gamble on him.

He shot 37% from 3 on 3 per game. Over 70% from FT and over 45% FG.

Gary Trent Jr: 3P%-40% on 6.5attempts pet game

Cassius Stanley: 3P%- 36% on 3 attempts per game

60% of Gary Trent's shots came from 3pt range, while 30% of Stanley's shots come from that same range. Majority of his shots are either I'm transition or off cuts. All due respect, they're just not comparable players at all. I really don't see where you're getting the correlation in their games.

Agreed. Trent is more of a 3D shooter. Stanley more of a two way type scorer.

What I see similar is their size, build, and athleticism for defense. Both 6’6 and strong. Move their feet well. Versatile defenders. Offensively Stanley has a lot more potential on ball.

I mentioned Jordan Clarkson. Slasher scorer that can still shoot the 3. Obviously more 3s later in his career as the game has changed.

Stanley is way more athletic than Trent so that doesn't jive either.

They are similar height 2-guards and both went to Duke. I don't see anything else.

I see them both more as hybrid wings at 6’6.

Their defense is very similar.

Stanley’s athleticism flashes way more on offense and def in the open court.
