We live in a copy cat league but the Heat's success, and previously the Warriors', shows how effective it can be to have three point shooters who are constantly moving, rather than standing still and spitting up. Guys who can dribble and pass a bit, and shoot off the catch. That way you don't need a true facilitator or creator, a guy who can break down defenses, as the defense is always in chaos as it chases around two threats. Teams are forced to use a box and two or triangle and three (which not all teams are comfortable with) especially if those shooters are really dangerous. That's why guys like Terry, Bane, Joe, Pritchard, Flynn, Tillie, Ramsey, Howard, Merrill, could be attractive.
It feels like this video is screaming "TYRELL TERRY" at me. lol
I'm looking forward to Matt Thomas' promotion into the rotation next year. His shooting was absolutely brilliant this season. I think my favourite thing about him that has sold me is his defensive improvement over the season. He was so bad defensively at first (I had very little hope to be honest) but he kept improving and was not looking like a total liability in the bubble. He is a true professional. He's going to add a nice wrinkle to our offence.
I mentioned this before but Tillie is interesting to me. I think grabbing a ball handler is higher up our priority list but the idea of having a bulls eye shooting big in our rotation sounds really nice. That type of player would compliment our team so well (and Giannis lol).
