Imo he gets like 1y/25m from the Heat before that happens.

I think Heat do everything they can to keep him.
What’s everyone’s opinion on DJ Augustine? Seems like he could be a good target as an FA especially if we part with one or both of Bled/Hill. Trading for CP3 and getting Augustine as a backup?

Big salary match issues are gone then too. Yes, it would require them probably moving on too quickly from recent high picks. But Cle usually isn't smart and those two guys do overlap quite a bit in skillsets so it is logical to possibly split them up, especially if they have their eyes on another G in this draft(assuming they have a high pick). Maybe there's a poor contract we could take back too to help.

Say the Heat pay Goran something crazy like 1 yr 30 mil this year then he turns around and signs a 1 year deal with them in 21 for the vet minimum. Does the league investigate and slap them for circumventing the cap because it would be obvious they had that handshake agreement to overpay for a year then take nothing the next year so the heat have cap space?LuessiT wrote:Chuck Diesel wrote:I know he’s 34, but what if we gave Dragic like a three year full MLE? Don't think they'll attach assets to move him but other than that, very.

LuessiT wrote:Yeah I think Cleveland just chill. Maybe they take a flyer on someone very cheap like they did with Drummond.
If we're looking for young point guard talent this year's draft seems like one of the better options. Obviously can't trade away any of our win-now pieces, but packaging #24 with an unprotected pick gets us in the lottery for sure. Haliburton definitely helps right away and Hayes has positively contributed as a pro in Europe.

MKE In: Sexton, Osman, DAJ
Out: Bled, DJ, 24
BKN In: Bled, DJ, 2nd
Out: Dinwiddie, DAJ, TLC
Cle In: Dinwiddie, TLC, 24
Out: Sexton, Osman, 2nd
Sign Burks or Moore and try for Giles.
Sexton/Hill
DDV/Burks or Moore/Wes
Mids/Osman/Wes
Giannis/Giles
Brook/DAJ/Giles
