In HS, he shot 35% on over 600 attempts. He shot 83%+ from the line. He’ll be fine at the next level.

People said the same about Romeo.

Give me someone who is more athletic, is stronger, is faster and already shoots with better form. RJ already has a midrange pullup and is perhaps the most lethal of all guards in transition.

RJ is a worse shooter. Nuclear athlete, but so are many busts like Josh Jackson. No indicators he’ll ever learn how to shoot. Im good.

If Mike Miller is working with him over the past 8 months and is stating there is an improvement already and that he sees no reason why kid wont be a high 30s low 40s 3pt shooter. Thats good for me.

I think Maxey would be a solid get but in staying with my mandate of drafting high for "combustible offensive firepower" or at least the potential for that, I'll take Hampton's raw potential over Maxey right now. Highly ranked high school player. Explosive, athletic and the shooting form is good enough to make me think it will improve. Think he can add some strength to that frame. I think this is a good group for him to learn from and he doesn't have to impact right away as a primary ballhandler.

I think I would. Still have a shot at a good rotation player at 26, so yeah. (Smith, Joe, Ramsey,

But a potential pure 3andD to pair on the wing with the Jays long term. Kinda hard to pass that up. I think he can start right away in the NBA too. Drafting him certainly allows for a Hayward trade too (well that and Tatums growth at being a secondary playmaker)

I would love for DA to consolidate picks to move higher in the draft and get the player he wants. I hope he learned his lesson last year (re: the Herro pick) and know which GMs are like Pat the Snake who will screw us over and pick DA's guy.

Everyone thinks Ainge is trash at drafting AND wants him to trade all his picks so he only gets one shot. Hard to parse that logic.

Trade up for obvious hall of fame talent like Doncic when Phoenix, Sacramento and Atlanta blunder their franchises away, but otherwise nah. Trade down and get as many swings as possible.

He has 2 forms. 1 from the ft line and 1 from outside. Its really weird. He has a nice release on FTS and on 3pters its a really low release and he does something weird with his legs on the gather/jump.

I think if you can't move up to get an elite PG, you take Poku. This team needs a HR swing like that rather than another combo guard who won't crack the rotation for 4 years..

I guess I don't have an issue with having lots of young players that the team controls. They're all positive trade assets at worst. Give me some crappy euro stash instead of wasting the 30th pick to move up 3 spots in a flat draft. I'd rather kick the can and keep trading for future picks like they've been doing, who knows if that's a possibility this year, but every year there are awful GMs who fall in love with the next Zach Collins and they just need to have him.

Yeah, seems like a total Spurs pick. That means getting to 9,10 somehow - probably 14, 26, maybe more at that point. Could totally be worth it in a few years, though.

I don't mind the Ringer's draft for us at all. Poku, Bey, Mannion. I don't know much about Mannion, so could go him or Reed or something else there if it goes KOC's way. But, I'm on board with the first 2 picks.
