How much will Tristan Thompson be offered by the Cavs? (I thought of him because of the WT saying he and the Cavs had "mutual interest".)

Marc Gasol may not get a lot of money.

Boogie Cousins is worth the cheapest possible flyer given his injury luck, but may prefer LA.

I don't have a comparable list of perimeter players at my fingertips.

Let's hope Timelord can turn into the cheaper version of Tristan Thompson as soon as this offseason so we won't have to pay Tristan Thompson.

I would love Marc Gasol on the team, but not to play much. Maybe 10-12 minutes off the bench on regular nights and bigger minutes against Embiid, Jokic, AD, etc. More mentor role for our bigs and solid vet in the locker room. He might be a bit washed on the court, but he's one of the high BBIQ guys any team would love to have at the end of the bench this late in his career. I dunno how much he'll demand.

Flat-out no to Boogie. Kyrie was enough of a headache. We've seen this season what a harmonious locker room can do to the running of a well-oiled machine. No need for monkey wrenches.

Gasol, oddly, could be a "poor man's Aron Baynes".

Honestly, not sure who to take there, but they can't have 3 draft picks again this year when the don't even have the PT to go around to develop the picks they used last year. Maybe Haliburton at 7? Myles Turner checks off so many boxes this team needs, and Indiana has a logjam in the front court.

Honestly, I really love the hayward for turner and lamb based idea. I just dont see the pacers going for it. I mean, we can always sweeten it with a 1st, but long term that move would really hurt the pacers. I know turner is limited and he doesn't fit with sabonis, but he is still a young 3pt shooting shot blocker

Yeah I don’t see it with Hayward for a year. Would have to give up something that hurts a little for Indy to move on from Turner.

Smart/Theis/Langford for Turner/Holliday

Holliday is a decent backup that could help with bench scoring, could maybe attach someone like Poirer also to clear up more salery.

Even if we did make a play for turner, I would want to keep Theis. He may not be great, but he is good and he is elite off the bench. If a turner trade isn't based around hayward, then you are right, it hurts us too much and isn't worth the price of admission

GSW gets
Kemba

BOS gets
Klay Thompson
48th and 51st picks in 2020

That's if you want to get rid of Kemba for the sake of it. Both players make the exact same money, both are damaged goods, are the same age. Klay has a year longer on his contract. GS save 32mil for one year and the Cs get a couple of low 2nd round picks.

Got a feeling that Smart is going on the block this offseason. The Cs have now been eliminated by 3 teams in 3 years and a fouth team that they avoided in last season's playoffs were the NBA champs. Say all you want about the pros of this season, but it's the same old story. The Cs can't get out of the East. Danny knows this and will not stand pat. If Tatum isn't extended in the fall, Danny's time is short.

GSW would never move Klay unless he is completely handicapped by that injury. It wouldn’t even make sense to move a 100% Klay for Giannis if you want to space the floor and win with Giannis. No one is taking Kamba’s huge contract and severe lack of size. It doesn’t matter how hard he works, that size will always hurt him on the defensive end expending so much energy guys targeting him. He is very short and very think. At least a short dude who is a thick bulldog can take it. Not Kemba

Yes, that'll do nicely. Oh, and a bench.

Send Hayward into Cleveland's cap space for their #5 pick.

Trade the #5 pick, Poirier and Ojeleye to Utah for Rudy Gobert.

Pray Kanter opts out.

Trade Carsen Edwards (maybe to Indiana) for a Top 55 protected 2nd Round pick.

Lineup:

C: Rudy Gobert / Daniel Theis / Robert Williams III

PF: Jayson Tatum / Grant Williams / 2020 1rst Round Pick (a "Stretch PF")

SF: Jaylen Brown / Romeo Langford / 2020 1rst Round Pick

SG: Marcus Smart / Jevonte Green / 2020 1rst Round Pick

PG: Kemba Walker / Brad Wanamaker / Free Agent (Rajon Rondo for minimum, if Stevens insinuates he'll make him an assistant coach when he retires?)

Warriors signed Klay after his ACL injury. I won't say Klay will ever be as good as he once was but Warriors would just roll around laughing on the floor at that offer. Ainge probably would not even have the guts to make that offer and Ainge is supposedly notorious for trying to rip teams off. If K Walker is shopped and he should be, it will be to a situation where the other team may actually pull the trigger.

Warriors management/ownership loves Klay since if you think about it, he is their best pick involved with their mini dynasty that just wasn't somewhat lucky. Warriors were lucky that Curry wasn't drafted higher given what Curry did in college and MN selected 2 PGs before them.

If Warriors thought Draymond Green would peak as high as he did, they would have drafted him higher.

I would do it but I doubt Philly does it. I would think Philly trades Embiid before Simmons and the Celtics should be willing to trade Kemba plus picks for either one.
