I love draft time.
So many players I have become enamoured with. I wish we had 6 picks and 6 roster spots to use them on. lol.
However In my order by position (not that anyone cares I assume):
PGs:
1) Haliburton: A very Malcom Brogdon type of Player. Can play either position, smart, no real weaknesses, not the most athletically gifted but great IQ, a bit thin
2) Hayes: A lot of the same qualities as Haliburton, not as good a shooter, bit better playmaker. Not overly athletic, good size
3) Hampton: Great athlete. Tough defender, improving shot, one of the best break down abilities in the draft. Poor mans Westbrook potential with better shooting percentages and far better mentality.
4) Ball: Meh
5) Lewis Jr: Super fast, good range on shot, good defender. Might be the fastest player in the draft. A bit like Fox
Darkhorse: Maledon
SG:
1) Edwards: Enough said
2) Ramsey: Hyper competitive, Can defend, can score at all three levels. NBA size. Marcus smart with better offense at lesser defense.
3) Vassell: Elite Size, great athleticsm, Excellent shooter and excellent defender A bit like Michael Redd? maybe a mike miller with better defense.
4) Green: Elite defender who can also shoot the 3. Great NBA size. A bit like a Josh Richardson
5) Maxey: Good scorer, undersized. A bit like Lou WIlliams
Darkhours: Riller, Joe
SF:
1) Deni: Might be best player in the draft. Defender, playmaker, gaining more and more offensive abilities. Think Hedu with very good defense.
2) Okoro: Elite defender, great playmaker, excellent athleticism, learning to shoot. A bit like Justice Winslow Could see him being a trade up target of Danny's if he is looking to move Hayward. Would fit great with the Jays.
3) S. Bey: Prototypical 3D player. A bit like a poor mans Middleton maybe?
4) T. Bey: Alot to explain, but will sum it up with Shawn Marion
5) Nesmith: Excellent shooter, can really light it up from deep. Long, very smart, very good size. Can see him topping out like a Robert Covington type of player. A rich mans tony snell
Darkhorse: Bane, Scrubb, Bolmaro
PF:
1) Pat Williams: Elite athleticism, bit of a tweener. Great defender, learning to offense. Smart and an NBA body. Maybe a bit like OG onanuby. Could be a steal.
2) Jalen Smith: Blocks shots, Rebounds, Runs the floor, defends well. A bit of a Myles Turner type of a player if he puts on more weight
3) Reed: Defensive specialist. Thin, needs to put on weight. Good height and wingspan. Very efficient offensively. Maybe a combo of Siakam and Draymond for his Comp.
4) Precious: Great size, plays hard, terrible shooter. Not great at offense but potential is there. Think someone like Kenneth Faried at this point.
5) Toppin: Athletic, Good on offense. Doesnt like defense. Amare type of player imo Am not sold on him as an nba player.
Darkhorse: Poku, Tillie
C:
1) Wiseman: Cannot teach size and athleticism. Kid is a potential franchise changer. Has Embiid size with Howard athleticism.
2) Okongwu: strong, good size, athletic, can pass, can dribble, can do a bit of everything but shoot 3s. A bit like Bam
3) Nnaji: Mobile, good hands, good motor, excellent work ethic. PLays within himself, extending range to 3pt line. a bit like a young Taj Gibson.
4) Stewart: Great size and strength. Good defender of the paint. Not an explosive athlete. Apparently extending range out to the 3pt line. A bit like Antonio Davis.
5) Oturu: Defends the paint. Alters shots, Good size, bad at offense but sets good screens and rolls to the rim good. A poors man Clint Capela
Top 15 picks:
1) Deni Avdija
2) Wiseman
3) Edwards
4) Okongwu
5) Haliburton
6) Okoro
7) Haywes
8) Ball
9) Williams
10) Vassell
11) Jalen Smith
12) S. Bey
13) Nesmith
14) Green
15) Toppin
I have become completely "Binkied" with Deni, Okongwu, Okoro, Haliburton and ramsey. I really wish there was a way to grab any of those players.
