I'd rather get Aminu off the books first and have WeHam spend on min deals to try find some more Birch/Clark/MCW types to fill out the bench. Although TLC has been a name I've been interested in via FA and he might be worth the full MLE just to try price him out of Brooklyn's range.

Also, it feels like some kind of unspoken narrative is developing that the Magic are moving on from DJ. Are we? That doesn't feel like a WeHam move given how highly they and Clifford speak of him. I would imagine they'd only move on from him if he wanted to go chase a ring somewhere.

It will be interesting to observe what we do with Dj and MCW. I like both players but we have limited roster space. #45 this year also should produce a potential rotational player (most likely pg).
Dj seems like this teams vocal leader and it will be hard emotionally to move on from him this year. MCW on the other hand is the more undervalued player. Second lineup od MCW/Bane/Ross/Okeke/Bamba could be so fun to watch !!! Outside dropping Bamba its more or less capable of switching everything 8-) with more shooting than we saw since 2010. (switch MCW with DJ and we have less defense but 5 out offense,)

I love MCW. I hope we keep him around forever. He's easily one of the most influential players on this roster in terms of how much he can motivate an entire team's defense. His lineup numbers are all quite strong too. MCW is like our Marcus Smart, not as good but not as expensive. I would love to see a matured lineup of Bamba/Isaac/Okeke/MCW/Fultz in the future, just for the defensive potential. I often enjoy watching defense more than offense.

In terms of affordable veteran presence I don't think the team can do much better than MCW.

I love MCW also. His energy transforms the second unit. You can immediately see the difference with or without him. And he is cheap to resign. Hope we keep him.

Random thought:

Has anyone else felt that the board has become a much less toxic place lately? It feels like we've all found more mutual respect for each other. There will always be disagreements, but these days they feel like solid debates and not name-calling pissing competitions.

Maybe it's just me? I've appreciated it anyway. Even though we've run most topics of discussion into the ground, it's nice to have something of a refuge from 2020.

So just wanted to say - thanks all!

Maybe we’ve just gotten used to each other’s perspectives to a point that it’s not worth arguing incessantly anymore.

Before Pepe gets mad at me and unfriends me on facebook: I am the clown in said picture.

To your point: I think we all may disagree on what the Magic should being doing but we all love the team so that takes precedent.

Yeah. I'm just tired of the same arguments while still having to watch the same core fail year after year. The arguments aren't even worth it anymore. Just keep the same group out there and watch interest completely die.

On top of everything, here we are in the worst position possible. Capped out with mid first round picks as our only hope for improvement. I can't wait to bring in the next Reece Gaines or Jeryl Sasser.

No problem. After our last argument I removed him from my top 8 on MySpace.

I’ll be happy if they actually choose any direction but the status quo.

I say we harken back to the board's golden age when every other post hailed Travis Diener.

Do you think a 7-8 play-in means the Magic blow it up? I think we would honestly lose the play in if it came down between us and the Wizards (assuming Wall is not totally trash post injury).

I feel like this team will be irrelevant until one of two things happens

A) we draft a legit superstar with marketability

B) a (former) player led-group buys the team. Grant Hill or Doc (after Philly) or Shaq (if he doesn’t still own Sac). I’ve been crossing my fingers for this option for a while

We can make plenty of 6-9th seeds in the mean time. Just feels like for us to be THAT team again one or the other has to happen.

... bringing Isaac back too soon only to lose him to an ACL tear for all of next season will do that. *smh*

I just hope we can rebuild properly this time. I don’t want to use any particular buzzwords for rebuilding to set people off (we know what those are). At this stage we have trades, future drafts and developing talent (Fultz & Isaac) to work with. All options are available. JUST DO SOMETHING!!! WeHam!

In the past I would argue with MagicMatic is specific direction. Now, I’m game for anything. Just do something!

I dont know. I just dont view him as the savior of the franchise. great defensively, sub par offense and cant stay healthy. it sucks to see him get hurt, but that isnt what makes me lose hope for the team. this front office is losing me quickly
