Potential three-team trade:
- Philadelphia trades Simmons for Harden
- Minnesota receives Simmons for 2020 Minnesota first round pick (1), 2020 Brooklyn pick (17) and 2023 Minnesota first round pick (lottery protected)
- Houston trades Harden for 2020 Minnesota first round pick (1), 2020 Brooklyn pick (17) and 2023 Minnesota first round pick (lottery protected)
Someone else can build upon this to match salaries...
"A subluxation meant the patella went partially out of the groove and went back in on its own, which is different than a dislocation, where the patella goes completely out of the groove and has to be pushed back in. A patella subluxation or dislocation almost always results in an injury to the MPFL. The majority of the time, the MPFL scars-in adequately to the point that recurrent instability does not occur."
On the rehabilitation process
"Rehab after an instability episode typically involves restoring knee range of motion and strengthening of the quadriceps muscles. While not typically the case in NBA players, in some patients, the scar tissue and rehab do not stabilize the patella and recurrent instability can ensue, which then requires surgical reconstruction."
What is a 'loose body'? And what will the procedure entail?
"Unfortunately, in Simmons' case, the patella subluxation was forceful enough that a piece of cartilage – with or without bone – was knocked off and needs to be removed. The arthroscopic loose body removal procedure is an outpatient procedure, after which he will most likely be able to weight bear right away with gradual increase in activity."
"This is, of course, unless his doctors find additional damage that needs to be addressed during surgery. Recovery is usually in the four-to-six week range. He would be expected to have a very good short-term recovery."
Is there cause for bigger picture concern?
"The biggest question mark is what will be the long-term consequences of the injury to the joint cartilage? If the loose body is small, then there may be minimal long-term consequences but if the loose body is large, then it may have a greater impact. His game is so dependent on his athleticism and he will need to have his explosiveness and agility for the long-term."

Sounds like they prefer embiid over simmons

Does seem that way from the article.
I doubt moving Simmons happens this offseason, however, depending on how the 76ers are playing, he could be traded as early as the trade deadline.

Maybe we can get involved somehow... #1+Hartford to Houston. Simmons to Minnesota, Harden to Philly. We would have to ship out players to match salaries.

Let Houston rebuild, it's a wrap with GS coming back healthy & Lakers are probably going to have quality guys flock there after their championship.
3 team;
-Philly gets Harden
-Houston Gets #1, Culver, Thybulle, financial Filler
-Minny Gets Simmons
Houston needs to have a trade ready for Westbrook outta there, but his contract is looking nasty. Houston also gets to build around a #1 pick, future all NBA D player in Thybulle, a rookie that still has promise in Culver and financial filler that'll come off the books (Johnson?)
Philly gets their peace to run the east. Harden + Embiid would be a FILTHY combo in the east.
Minny gets Simmons who would be such a monster fit with DLO/Beasley/KAT ..Simmons also can get the best 1-4 matchup with his monster defensive ability.
I can realistically see this trade happening, no way Houston pairs up Simmons with Westbrook & no way they rebuild around Ben Simmons, I think they clean house and go fully young/rebuild.
