The latest has GS going with Edwards at #2 if he's there, which assumes Wiseman goes #1. If this is how it shakes out (which is doubtful given that both GS and Minny want to trade down), then Charlotte is left to make a deal with someone wanting Ball or just go ahead and draft.
Consider these recent reports: Minny and GS both professing a desire to trade down; Boston and Detroit expressing a desire to trade up; GS will draft Edwards #2 if he's there; Ball's interviews are terrible and he's dropping down draft boards; Wiseman doesn't want Minny to draft him - doesn't see a fit next to KAT; Charlotte targeting a big man at #3 and may trade up to #1 to get Wiseman, but also really likes Okongwu.
I like Charlotte's leverage here for whatever they want to do. If they do trade up, it'll be for a less-than-#1 package. But the best scenario for them may be for Minny and GS to stay in their slot and draft. That, in my opinion, maximizes Charlotte's trade position. If the Hornets choose to draft (which I predict they'll do), any of Okongwu, Ball or Avdija would be a value pick at #3. Chicago's trade position would then go through the roof, especially with Ball potentially on the board. If I were the Bulls, I'd stay as silent as the grave until their turn to pick.
