I think Gallo might have a little more value for the Lakers but in a vacuum I'd probably take Ibaka.

I wonder if it'll be more mental exhaustion or physical coming off a short 2 month off-season? Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe Bron had any injuries he was battling during the playoffs?

It's Gallo every time. When push comes to shove, AD is playing C and Ibaka will be sitting on the bench. Gallo will be a part of the Lakers closing lineups

Gallo will be on the bench and LeBron will be at the four to close.
I take Ibaka, easily. He would start for the Lakers. He allows you to keep Davis at the four, maintain elite rim protection, while still spreading the floor.
All that being said, I like Ibaka as a replacement in the event that Howard walks. My preference would be to keep the band together and run it back.
Use the MLE to bring back guys like Howard and Morris. Don’t screw with the chemistry unless absolutely necessary.

You’re underrating Gallo heavily if u think he wouldn’t be finishing games. Markieff Morris was starting and finishing games in the freakin nba finals on this lakers squad.

It's definitely mostly mental, but physically he played a full playoff run + two weeks of games. At his age/mileage it certainly would allow him to go harder in the RS if there was more time off.

He won’t be.
Vogel values defense to close (above all else). Markieff has been given a bum wrap because he struggled against Butler a couple of games in the Finals. Truth is, he played adequate defense (overall) and he was a valuable reserve in the Lakers title run.
I value the toughness (and goon deterrence) that Markieff brings over all that Gallo provides. If he can be had at a reasonable cost, I would rather stick with him.
Don’t mess with chemistry.

I'm so sad for LeBron James, making Millions of dollars and complaining he only gets two months off. 200+ Million Americans don't get two months off and don't get Millions of Dollars.
I like LeBron, but come on.
RCM88x wrote:I honestly have no clue what the Lakers would be thinking here. Bad on offense, bad on defense, old, mentally fragile, expensive.
Danny Green alone is more valuable in my opinion.

lmao, Kieff's defense was chit.
