Beal might not be better than Jimmy
He can never be >>> Harden
4 years younger,
Hungrier,
Better 3 point shooter,
Makes 10Mil$ less per year,
Fits the culture better,
Fits our offense better.
Lmao, he could be 10 years younger and never be the player Harden is
Hungrier? Lol based on what? Him getting to the second round like a decade ago, seriously, I'm interested in this answer
Over half of that is conjecture. Harden's at least TWO tiers ahead of him-- just admit that it's hate and not his age or income. Admit it.
I Admittedly don't like anything about Harden, it's no secret.
His style is unbearable to watch, he plays in a way that will REDUCE everyone else on the team, he's the Anti-Jimmy.
It's proven now that Harden's style doesn't win when it matters (playoffs, for many years now) and now he's starting to exit his prime when Beal is entering his.
Beal has been nothing but a soldier his all career despite being stuck on horrible team with an horrible org, he just keeps pushing and getting better every year being a team player, he's in great shape and if you ever heard him talk shop you know he lives and breaths the game.
Harden drove away EVERY star he played with and he played with a TON of talent, couldn't make it work with Durant, Westbrook, CP3, Dwight, he always underperforms in money time, usually by a lot, some of the most epic playoff collapses all time, his entire current team wants out from Houston and the guy is supposed to lead a team to the ship? come on now. He needs to get in shape first.
I'd take Beal over him given their ages and contracts for this team. Beal will also cost less trade assets.
Harden is just everything we're not - He's all about the stats, not even trying on defense, his own style, Hero-ball, regular season wins, shrinking under the bright lights.
If you really don't care about fit at all and advocating putting talent above all - I'd love to hear why we should take Harden over Giannis.
