You may very well be correct, but most of the mocks and draft heads think he should be there at 15ish.
Who are you following? Outside of the Ringer, everyone seems to have him in the lottery.

He has the tools to develop with ball in his hands. High IQ, willing passer, and not afraid of the big shots.MasterGMer wrote:Please don't let it be Devin Vessell. Dude is a 3D player with a low ceiling. It is just not intriguing enough. I'd be contend with Deni, Hayes and Edwards. I am all in on Edwards. Dude has star potential none of the rest have
I haven't even touched the defense.
Vassell is probably the only player I wouldn't mind losing AG for. Not only does he fit the mould but he compliments the other young players perfectly.

He has the ball handling of a middle school player and no 1 on 1 offensive game
On offense he's strictly a "stand at the 3pt line and wait for a catch-and-shoot play" guy. So yeah, he's solely a 3d guy

Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer in his latest mock - https://nbadraft.theringer.com/#mock
It would say a lot about the trade value of Gordon if the Magic can't move him along with the 15th pick just to move up 5-7 draft spots in a weak draft.

Its hilarious how much FSU gets overrated on this board. Between Isaac, Bacon, Mann and now Vessell, and Williams, youd think FSU was a national championship winner ever year the way those guys get hyped
Speaking for myself only, I don't give a **** where a player goes to school. I'll always favor 2-way players over potentially good offensive players. The Effect wrote:I wonder how many people on this board would like Vessell if he didnt play for FSU and instead played for say Michigan?

Bensational wrote:Vassell looks like the guard version of Isaac to me. Better ballhandling but still not great. Shooting is a question, but the defense will be exceptional.
An Isaac/Okeke/Vassell lineup would be a defensive wrecking ball. If Bamba pans out then that's a hydra of length and rim protection. The PG would need to be Dame level to carry the offense though, which would make Vuc a better C candidate than Bamba - especially with do much weakside help available.

I like a Vuc / Bamba C rotation in this situation.
I don’t care where Bamba was drafted or the “wasted draft value” narrative anymore. That is the past. We have the players we have unless someone is offering an all-star guard for Vuc in a trade.
