I was hoping Georgia would complete this recount and end the complaints about the Dominion voting machines by showing they were accurate. Disappointed to hear it is not a real recount, they are doing a fake recount. Not sure why they couldn't do a real recount but this fake one will help nothing.

Not sure any of the court stuff matters anyways. Trump was predicting the Democrats would cheat all year, if they did cheat, he would have set up a bigger trap for them laying it in the hands of states running recounts and audits.

If it was a military driven national security operation for example it a whole different game, it's not about the courts at that point. The rest might just be a charade to trap the media and more people to going down with the ship.

In my opinion there will be a fair result this election, either Biden won and it will be proven, or the Democrats cheated and they will be caught. Trump predicted the Democrats would cheat with mail in ballots so if he saw it coming and they still pulled it off in his face it would be a catastrophic failure on his part. In my opinion there are two logical moves if you're convinced they're going to cheat, either stop all their cheating ahead of time (ie make the counting stations airtight with lawyers, feds, multiple Republican observers etc.) or make it a fool proof sting operation like watermarking all the ballots while the military uses high tech machinery to track Dominion machines on election night. Letting them do it and then trusting the lawyers and judicial system to let you scrape it out seems weak to me when this much is on the line for not just America but also his family's future as if they come after him for Russiagate they likely will the other Trumps as well.

Right and it is going to remain a source of internal tension withing the GOP.

They will not cut ties overtly. Why should they? They'll still pander to the Trump voters.

They simply will not come forward with crocodile tears lamenting his coming downfall. And if any of them do try to milk Trump's base by expressing dismay at his convictions it will still only be for show. It will not translate into any action that actually helps Trump deal with his looming troubles.

That said, it is going to be an identity issue going forward. We'll see if the GOP just says fukit and maintains the same level of white nationalist dog whistling insanity as Trump or not.
