He had the opportunity to ask for a pick and should have made it a dealbreaker. Jrue gets 5 FRP’s and Bogi gets none? He lost on value, not a great way to start. But DDV is a nice piece so it’s not a total fail but yeah, NO way out negotiated McNair. Bucks must have been laughing, like “ok, we’ll give this giant pile of assets to NO and slice off one little piece for Sac and get the two guys we want!”
Jrue is good enough to be an all-star in the East. There are maybe 10 teams in the league Bogdan would start for.

There is a reason the vast majority of fans on the general board think the Kings lost this deal (yeah, I know...the general board, but still).
Because they look at points per game and say 'durr Bogdan is twice as good as DiVincenzo?' Or because they assume he's some up-and-coming youngster because he's only played 3 years in the NBA?
Have you watched much Bogi? This is a really good basketball player. Extremely well rounded guy, ice water in his veins in the clutch. He isn't on Jrue's level but he isn't four first round picks behind, that's for sure.
Yes, I have. He's a generic 2 guard who's a good shooter, doesn't get to the free throw line, a below-average defender who's over his head trying to switch onto most 1s or 3s, and a decent ball handler but not someone you'd want running the offense. That's kind of the thing about players like that; when you really watch a lot of them, you see that the 1-6 from three, get abused on defense games tend to outnumber the 20+ points with clutch baskets ones.
Is he much better (if at all) than Evan Fournier or over-the-hill JJ Redick, both of whom are on cheaper expiring contracts? No. I'd assume he'll be worse this coming season than someone like Tyler Herro, who was a bench player/5th starter on a good team and was a net negative in the postseason due to his defense. If you go through all the teams in the league, it's hard to find too many other places where Bogdan would be a significant upgrade to the starting lineup. Even some of the teams that figure to be tanking have guys like SGA, Kennard, and Sexton at that position.
