No way Ibaka gets less than 3/60. A 15 and 8 with 38% 3pt big, he gets paid.
There are no contending team with enough cap space that can offer him anywhere near that amount. At this moment in time, it’s probably down to 3 teams; raptors, nets or clippers.
Raptors will probably look to resign Serge for 2 years 40 million (balloon contract) with a 2nd year team option or 3 years 45 million with a 3rd year team option to make it easier to move him to create a max slot.
Nets are going to cross the hard cap once they sign Joe Harris and cannot offer Serge the full MLE. If they are going to sign Serge, it will have to be through sign and trade with raptors taking back T. prince and Allen (for fit). This also takes them out of the Harden sweepstakes so it will be very tricky.
Clippers can only offer the MLE and they don’t have any pieces that the raptors would want back in a sign and trade.
Considering Serge has a home in Florida, his family lives in Florida, and Florida has no state income tax, I think he comes back. Just a matter of negotiating the terms of the contract at this point.
