Nah, Frank still has too much to show improvement on. He’s already passive and you wanna give him a bag?

I'd do this in a heartbeat & if it doesn't work out. I bet you could still trade him to the spurs or something

yeah, it was known when Frank was drafted he was a project. he wasn't drafted for years 1-4; he's still just 22 and his defense will continue to

I've pretty much given up on Knox, because neither brings something above-avg. to the table, whereas I still have faith in Frank because he's a good defender and if the shot improves (and it did last season, shot well from corners too) he's a rotation player on ANY NBA team

We lost another point guard option:
Raulzinho went to Wizards...

this time it's probably for real. RJ and Mitch look like core pieces, and Obi was 1 of the safer picks in the draft. add in a top 10 pick in a loaded 2021 (as well as 3 other picks that'll be in the top 40) and I like our chances

Top 10 picks mean nothing. Knox, Frank and even DSJ are all top 10 picks. How are they looking? Everyone says the draft is loaded, but perceptions about draft classes can change real quick. The 2014 draft was supposed to be loaded with Wiggins, Parker and Embiid and now only one of those players is an allstar level player

Even if we get a top 3 pick there is no guarantee that the pick is an allstar. At least one pick in the top 3 is a bust every year. Sh*t even if we get the first pick and draft Cade there is no guarantee we win anything. In the past 10 years the only number one pick to win a championship has been Anthony Davis and Kyrie. If you expand the list to the past 20 years the list increases to Lebron, Dwight, AD, Bogut, Kyrie.

Only Lebron has won as the best player on a championship team, playing on the team that drafted him 1st in the past 20 YEARS. And he had to leave win in Miami and come back for that to happened.

Stop tanking. Try to be competitive.

some prospects fail, it happens, that's why during the rebuilding phase you load up on picks. more bites at the apple=more chances for success

true there is a chance that our top pick next year is a bust, but there's still a greater chance we find a star w/ that pick than we would bu signing some B-level FA's + we also have 4 picks in the top 40 (hornets and pistons will be bottom 10 teams)

there are at least 7 prospects that had they been eligible to be drafted Wednesday, would have easily gone #1. things could change, the draft might not end up as good as we thought, could also end up better. after watching some of them, I think there are some truly special talents (Cade, Green, Boston most notably)

you can't win in this league w/o stars and you can either draft, sign, or trade for stars. since I dont see any stars signing here (even in 2021), and there are none on the trade market (other than Harden, who doesn't want to be here), the draft is the most viable option as well as accumulating picks + young talent in case another star becomes available via trade

Exactly.. Even if none of the players you drafted become stars if there good they can be moved for a disgruntled one I.E. the Lakers young players for Davis

We are still probably not a playoff team if you add Westbrook to this roster. Its even more pointless to trade for him now. Praying Wash pulls off a deal

Too many of yall are caught up in FA hype. This FA class is trash and we all knew it but now we are "striking out". Please. I like the FO approach. Grt a good deal together or dont panic and make bad signings. We can do more with capspace than just sign players and if there was ever a year to tank, its this one. Im not on team tank, but I'd rather do it this year than become maybe mediocre before a super stacked draft

I'm all for letting DSjr and Frank start together, the reason is really simple, they've had 9 months off. If they haven't improved in that time frame they never will and we can quickly move on from them if that's the case. Look at how some of the younger players came back to the bubble, most of them took a step up. I'm honestly curious to see what our young players look like without anyone in front of them, let the fear of being out the league be their competition.

berman just depressed me, i'll be honest. the worst thing is that advanced stats love payton for whatever reason. so on paper the new geeks we hired might think he's the best option.

If we manage to sign Gordon Hayward, I think we bring in Westbrook. If we don’t bring in Hayward, I can see us making a move with either New Orleans for Bledsoe/Lonzo or to Charlotte for Rozier.

I can’t see them going into the season w/ Frank and DSJ at the point...

Payton, even on a 1yr deal would make me throw up.

In a second.

I have a feeling your TWolves compatriots are a little less enthusiastic about such a deal though. :D

We can't just keep tanking and hoping to luck into a star. You know we have to develop these players right. You just don't tank and a superstar pops out. You have to have a foundation to build them into a star. Part of the reason Frank and Knox look so bad is cause we have put them in horrible situations. Put them on the Warriors, Heat or Spurs they look a lot different.

If Kawhi isn't drafted by the spurs I doubt he becomes who he is today and he was picked 15th. Raptors just won with no lottery picks on the roster. Warriors won with no top 5 picks. We don't need to be a bottom feeder for another season we need to actually start winning games, before RJ and Toppin pick up bad habits.
