Brown and tatum are going no where.

That literally leaves smart and kemba.

You're gonna need to create space by dropping on of them. Which really only makes us worse doesn't it?

You dump Kemba (next offseason) and have max cap space and can re-sign Smart still using Bird Rights.

This is all we can hope for. as I said, we have no need for a 31 year old pg on this team as currently constituted.

Yeah I think we can all agree on that, moving forward it's Tatum/Brown/Smart and max FA

It’s the only viable path forward, IMO.

Wow, Millsap is 36 y/o in February. Can't believe he actually logged 24mpg last season.

PJ Brown 2.0?

Use the full MLE on someone else.

Millsap 2 years and $10.5 million

I love your idea but in a world that Gordon Hayword is worth $30 mil a year I think Millsap is going to cost us the MLE.

Yeas, I kinda want Baynes if it's the full MLE, tbh.. Baynes is 33 and fits a need better than another undersized PF/C.
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

35-year-old Paul Millsap.

It’s happening everyone. Get the Ron Paul gifs ready.

Milsap is washed up why do another panic move, go with timeline players none of the rest of free agents move our needle. Only waste our pt for rookies to play oh wait we don't have big rookies hmm Giles would be a better play than milsap

Thought you only cared about titles?

I do.

Cool. I'm not sure what Ainge has left to get them the final piece?? He couldn't consolidate picks 14, 26 & 30 into something better and got nothing for Hayward.

Giannis coming to Boston next year is a pipedream just like thinking KD and AD wanted to come to Boston...

I'd be excited for Millsap if this was 2012.

Does that even free up max cap space with Smart's cap hold?

If we clear everyone from the books except Tatum, Brown, Rob, Grant, Romeo, and Aaron, we'll have cap space for a max FA in 2021.

Obviously if we keep Smart instead of Jaylen, that opens up more room for picks and stuff.

Can we still get there with Smart?

If it's just Tatum, Smart, and Brown, we can only sign an FA at 30% of salary cap. So no GIannis.

BAYNES JUST SIGN BAYNES (not for full MLE)

Both is fine. I'd like that roster. Just gotta be team option for Milsap's 2nd year.
Don't think Baynes would go for that, lol.

BTW, to be clear, my Baynes comment was about giving Danny an option on him again. Not signing here for less than MLE.

Even a one year deal is too much for Milsap. He is beyond cooked.
