it's going to be norm...his contract has to come off the books eventually

the trade market for bigs isn't looking very good. Norm is making 10.8 million this year with a player option for 11.6m in 2021. The only bigs making a salary in that range with an expiring contract are Olynyk (12.5M), Meyers Leonard (9.76M), and Ayton (9.2M). The first two would be a big downgrade from Norm value-wise (imo) and I think it's highly unlikely the Suns would deal Ayton for Norm.

You can package Norm with Johnson or McCaw.. so instead of $10.8 becomes $14.6 or $14.8M.
So add guys like Cody Zeller ($14M) and Gorgui Dieng ($15.7M) to your list.

You’re really overvaluing centers if you think about doing a trade like that.
Did everyone forget that we couldn’t play serge in the Celtics series because he couldn’t guard the pick n roll?
Let’s just sign baynes and Giles to 1 year deals and move on.

Bogdan to Pacers
Norm+Stanley to Kings
Oladipo to Raps?

-Big Body that can defend
-Solid Rebounder
-Bring Toughness
-Veteran Presence
-Fierce Competitor
Only knock on him is injury proneness....but our medical staff is one of the best in the league.

I think it captures why Whiteside doesn't have the defensive value that his stats would indicate.

Was thinking more as a backup. Could convince Charlotte or Memphis to give us a FRP as well.
But yeah I like the Baynes/Giles combo. Just a little worried about stability since Baynes probably can't play 65+ games anymore due to his age and Giles is perennially hurt.

I think we can manage with those guys imo. Marc and serge missed 40 plus last year and we did well.
Center is more of a plug and play situation than it has ever been.
